The research background of this article is that carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites are widely used in aviation structural components due to their excellent properties, but their mechanical properties are affected by the curing induced residual stress (CRS) generated during the curing process; -Previous methods overlooked the impact of CRS on the damage evolution of composite materials, resulting in inaccurate reliability design and performance prediction; -This article proposes a comprehensive computational framework that obtains CRS through a multi field coupled solidification process model, and introduces it as the initial prestress into the progressive damage model to study its effect on the mechanical properties of composite materials; -The results indicate that CRS significantly affects the damage evolution, failure modes, and deformation of cross layered composite materials, verifying the effectiveness of the framework.
