The testing principle of peeling force test steel plate
Date: 2025-11-22Read: 3
Peel strength test steel plateIt is a specialized equipment used to test the peel strength between coatings or adhesives and substrates. The following is a detailed introduction to it:
1、 Definition and purpose
Peel strength test steel plateAfter special treatment, the surface is coated with standard coatings or adhesive layers to simulate the bonding interface in actual use. Its core uses include:
Coating quality inspection: Verify the adhesion of coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, spray coatings, etc. to metal substrates.
Adhesive performance evaluation: Test the peel strength of materials such as adhesive tapes, stickers, protective films, etc., and evaluate their adhesion and service life.
Material compatibility testing: Compare the compatibility of different substrates (such as metals, plastics, composite materials) with adhesives.
Production process optimization: Test the peeling performance of release paper and release film, and optimize the production process.
Environmental adaptability assessment: Evaluate the adhesion degradation of coatings in high temperature, high humidity, chemical corrosion and other environments.
2、 Testing principle
The peel strength test of steel plates quantitatively evaluates the adhesion strength between materials such as coatings, adhesives, protective films, and substrates by simulating the peel scenarios in actual use. The specific testing principle is:
Stick the test material (such as tape, protective film) onto the surface of the steel plate.
After being treated under specific conditions such as time and temperature, peel off at a fixed angle (such as 90 °, 180 °) and speed.
Record the required force value during the peeling process to calculate the peeling strength (unit: N/cm or kN/m).
