Maintenance of brine spray test chamber
Date: 2025-04-01Read: 3
As the key equipment for testing the corrosion resistance of materials and products, the maintenance of brine spray test chamber directly affects the accuracy of test results and equipment life. The following provides detailed guidelines from four aspects: daily cleaning, maintenance of key components, environmental management, and troubleshooting:
1、 Daily cleaning standards
Cleaning after the experiment
Internal cleaning: at the end of each test, thoroughly clean the test box (including spray chamber, salt solution chamber, preheating tank and sealing tank) with clean water to prevent salt crystallization from corroding the equipment.
Nozzle maintenance:
Remove the nozzle and clean it with a soft bristled brush dipped in deionized water, or soak it in alcohol, xylene, or a 1:1 hydrochloric acid solution before unclogging.
It is strictly prohibited to use hard objects (such as needles and steel wires) to dredge the nozzle directly to avoid scratching the inner cavity and affecting the quality of spray.
Measurement cup processing: Empty and clean the measurement cup to prevent salt solution crystallization from interfering with sedimentation calculation.
External cleaning
Wipe the equipment casing with neutral detergent and a soft cloth, avoiding the use of corrosive cleaning agents.
2、 Key component maintenance
pneumatic system
Regular drainage: After the test, turn on the oil-water separator switch to drain the oil stains and accumulated water.
Filter replacement: Replace the air compressor filter every month, shortening it to 2 weeks in high humidity areas.
temperature control system
Sensor protection: Avoid pulling the temperature sensor cable when cleaning the box to prevent signal interference.
Calibration check: Calibrate the temperature sensor annually to ensure temperature control accuracy.
Saturator maintenance
Regular water replacement: Replace the saturator with stored water every 3-5 days during normal use, and drain it if not in use for a long time.
3、 Environmental management requirements
placement condition
Space requirement: Reserve at least 600mm of space around the equipment to ensure heat dissipation and maintenance channels.
Temperature and humidity control: The ambient temperature is 15 ℃ -30 ℃, and the humidity is ≤ 85%. Avoid direct sunlight and heat source radiation.
power management
Independent power supply: separate line power supply to avoid sharing circuits with high-power equipment.
Power outage protection: Cut off power, gas, and water sources when not in use for a long time to prevent equipment from being charged and standby.
4、 Common fault handling
Temperature anomaly
Slow temperature rise in the laboratory: Check the sealing of the door seal, test the resistance value of the heating tube, and notify the maintenance company to handle the controller or relay failure.
Low saturation bucket temperature: Adjust the temperature controller and safety protection switch settings, and troubleshoot heating system or electromagnetic relay faults.
Insufficient spray
Adjust the spray regulator: adjust the position of the spray regulator.
Clean the filter: unclog the glass filter in the preheating tank.
Adjust air pressure: Adjust the pressure regulating valve to a pressure of 1-2kg/cm ².
Nozzle clogging
Soak in warm water: Remove the nozzle and soak it in 40 ℃ warm water before dredging.
Compressed air blowing: Reverse blowing nozzle to remove residual salt particles.
5、 Long term suspension management
Deep cleaning: Drain the salt water tank and saturator, and rinse the equipment repeatedly with clean water.
Component protection: Remove the rubber sealing strip and apply silicone oil to prevent aging, and store it separately.
Environmental control: Cover the equipment with a dust cover, place it in a ventilated and dry place, and avoid moisture.
6、 Safety operation standards
Personnel protection: Wear goggles and rubber gloves during the experiment to avoid contact with the skin and inhalation of salt spray.
Emergency response: Post emergency response procedures for salt water contact next to the equipment, equip with fire extinguishers, and ensure normal pressure.
The above maintenance measures can ensure the stability and service life of the brine spray test chamber and provide reliable data support for corrosion test. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection every quarter and establish maintenance record files.
