1. Fix the cutting knife on the cutting knife fixing fixture, so that the front point of the cutting knife is perpendicular to the upper part of the middle part of the suture line.

2. Fix one end of the suture on a suture fixing fixture, load a 100g weight on the other end of the suture and fix it on the suture fixing fixture.

3. The tester reads to zero and there is no external force on the cutting blade.

4. Start the tester and cut the cutting blade downwards at a speed of 10mm/min until the suture is cut.

5. Record the high cutting force value at the front point of the cutting blade.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 to measure the cutting force at the center and back points of the cutting blade.

7. Calculate the arithmetic mean of the cutting force at the front, middle, and back points of the cutting blade.
