Breathability Tester: Labthink for Testing the Breathability of Carbon Paper Materials in Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Carbon paper is a commonly used material for the gas diffusion layer of hydrogen fuel cell membrane electrodes, which plays a crucial role in supporting the catalyst layer, transferring hydrogen gas, oxygen gas, and reaction products. Under appropriate porosity and pore distribution conditions, carbon paper should have good breathability. At present, there is no unified index requirement for the permeability of carbon paper, so most enterprises refer to "GB/T 20042.7-2014 Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells Part 7: Carbon Paper Characteristics Testing Method" to conduct self-assessment of the permeability of carbon paper materials. According to testing experience, the air permeability of charcoal paper is generally high, so instruments suitable for the measuring range should be selected. The Labthink TQD-G1A air permeability tester has a gas volume flow rate measurement range of 0-30L/min, which can meet the requirements for measuring the air permeability of general carbon paper. For highly breathable carbon paper materials, customized instruments with a wider measurement range are supported. The pressure difference setting range of the breathability tester is 0-1000Pa, which allows users to flexibly adjust the pressure difference setting and obtain more accurate breathability values. The instrument is equipped with high-precision electronic air flow and pressure sensors, which facilitate precise control and monitoring of air flow and pressure changes during the testing process.
