The three chamber independent pressure difference gas permeameter is a specialized device used to test the gas permeability of materials. It adopts the principle of pressure difference testing and can simultaneously test three independent samples, improving testing efficiency. This instrument is suitable for measuring the gas permeability, solubility coefficient, diffusion coefficient, and permeability coefficient of various materials such as plastic films, composite films, high barrier materials, sheets, and metal foils at various temperatures.
The working principle of a three chamber independent pressure difference gas permeameter:
The instrument is based on the principle of differential pressure testing. The pre processed sample is placed between the upper and lower testing chambers and clamped to ensure good sealing. Firstly, perform vacuum treatment on the low-pressure chamber (lower chamber), and then evacuate the entire system. After reaching the specified vacuum level, close the lower chamber of the test and fill the high-pressure chamber (upper chamber) with a certain pressure of test gas to create a constant pressure difference (adjustable) on both sides of the sample. Under the action of pressure gradient, gas will permeate from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side. The instrument calculates key parameters such as gas permeability of the sample by monitoring the changes in pressure inside the low-pressure side.
