The hydrogen generator meets the high-purity and stable gas supply requirements of gas chromatography FID and FPD detectors through the following methods:
1、 High purity hydrogen supply
FID and FPD detectors have high requirements for hydrogen purity, usually ≥ 99.999%. Impurities can reduce ionization efficiency and generate baseline noise. The hydrogen generator uses proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology, pressure swing adsorption, and molecular sieve technology to generate hydrogen gas with a purity of over 99.999%, even up to 99.99999%, from deionized water, effectively avoiding impurity interference and ensuring the accuracy of analysis results.
2、 Stable flow control
The hydrogen generator is equipped with an advanced flow control system that can provide stable airflow. For example, FID detectors typically require a hydrogen flow rate of 30-40mL/min, while FPD detectors require 60-80mL/min. The hydrogen generator can accurately adjust the flow rate according to the detector type and analysis requirements to ensure flame stability and improve ionization efficiency.
3、 Security Design
The hydrogen generator has complete safety functions, such as automatic pressure relief when the pressure is too high, gas leakage alarm, explosion-proof device, etc., to ensure safe operation. At the same time, the equipment adopts a modular design, which facilitates maintenance and replacement of components, reduces failure rates, and improves the stability of equipment operation.
4、 Environmental adaptability
The hydrogen generator has strict requirements for installation environment and needs to be placed in a well ventilated, stable temperature (0-40 ℃, some models support -5-50 ℃), and moderate humidity (relative humidity ≤ 85%) environment, avoiding direct sunlight or rain. These measures help to maintain stable equipment performance and extend its service life.
