1、 Key points of daily maintenance
Appearance and operation inspection
Daily check the status of the indicator light: If the green light is constantly on or flashing, it is normal. If the red light is on or the buzzer sounds an alarm, the leakage source should be immediately investigated.
Clean the detector casing and wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in neutral cleaning agent to prevent liquid from seeping into the interior; Clean the oil stains in the gaps of the air inlet with a fine brush, and do not use alcohol, strong acid/alkali cleaners, or high-pressure water guns for rinsing.
Confirm that the air inlet is not blocked by oil stains or dust to prevent a decrease in detection accuracy.
Environmental Management
Avoid spraying volatile chemicals such as alcohol and pesticides near the detector to reduce oil fume adhesion.
Regularly clean the kitchen fume duct to prevent oil stains from covering the detector and affecting its sensitivity.
Linkage system testing
Trigger the detector alarm every month and check whether the gas emergency shut-off valve (automatically closes within 10 seconds), exhaust system (immediately starts and continues to operate until manual reset), and sound and light alarm (synchronously emits sound and light signals) are normal.
2、 Sensor lifespan management
replacement cycle
Commercial/industrial premises: According to the Technical Regulations for Urban Gas Alarm Control Systems (CJJ146-2011), the sensor has a service life of 3 years.
Residential buildings: The service life is 5 years, and they need to be replaced in a timely manner after expiration.
Calibration error: If the calibration error exceeds ± 10% LEL, the sensor needs to be replaced immediately.
Replacement suggestion
Prioritize using original sensors to avoid compatibility issues.
After replacement, it is necessary to recalibrate and test the linkage function to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
3、 Troubleshooting and Handling
false alarm
Reason: Oil fume, steam interference, sensor aging or blockage.
Solution: Clean the detector and retest; If the problem persists, replace the sensor.
No response
Reason: Power supply not connected, sensor aging or blockage.
Solution: Check the power supply circuit; Clean the sensor air inlet and replace the sensor if necessary.
Large deviation in concentration indication
Reason: The sample gas concentration did not meet the requirements during calibration, and the sensor was aging.
Processing: Use qualified sample gas to recalibrate; If the sensor is aging, replace it with a new one.
Calibration failed
Reason: The sensor vent is blocked and there is a circuit malfunction.
Solution: Clean the sensor vent hole; If there is a circuit malfunction, return to the factory for repair or replace the equipment.
4、 Maintain records and compliance
Establish a "Maintenance Record for Combustible Gas Detectors" to record daily inspection results, cleaning dates, calibration data, and fault handling records, and archive for at least 3 years for inspection by the fire department.
According to GB50493 and GB50028, detectors need to undergo performance testing annually by a third-party organization to ensure compliance.
