Introduction to the usage steps of hydrogen analyzer
Date: 2025-07-30Read: 2

Usage steps

1. Instrument preheating: Connect the power supply of the hydrogen analyzer and preheat it according to the requirements in the instrument manual. The general preheating time is around 30 minutes to 1 hour to ensure that the instrument reaches a stable working state.
2. Sample collection: Select appropriate sampling methods and devices based on actual measurement needs. If sampling the gas inside the pipeline, a specialized sampling probe needs to be used, and the position of the sampling point should be ensured to represent the true situation of the measured gas. If sampling gases in the environment, gas sampling bags or sampling pumps can be used to collect samples. Introduce the collected samples into the sample input port of the hydrogen analyzer through a suitable connecting pipeline.
3. Parameter setting: Based on the properties of the sample and measurement requirements, set relevant measurement parameters on the instrument, such as measurement range, accuracy requirements, response time, etc. The settings of these parameters should be adjusted according to the specific instrument model and actual measurement situation to obtain accurate and reliable measurement results.
4. Calibration of instruments: Before conducting sample measurements, it is necessary to calibrate the hydrogen analyzer. The calibration method usually involves using a hydrogen standard gas of known concentration for calibration. Introduce standard gas into the instrument and follow the calibration procedure to ensure that the measured value matches the actual concentration of the standard gas. Multiple adjustments and verifications may be required during the calibration process to ensure the accuracy of the instrument.
5. Sample measurement: After calibration, slowly introduce the collected sample gas into the hydrogen analyzer, and the instrument will analyze and measure the hydrogen content in the sample. During the measurement process, it is necessary to maintain a stable flow of the sample gas and avoid drastic changes in gas flow rate that may affect the measurement results. After waiting for the instrument to display stable measurement values, record the measurement results.
6. Result processing and reporting: Based on the measurement purpose and requirements, process and analyze the measurement results accordingly. For example, if monitoring the hydrogen content during the production process, it is necessary to compare the measurement results with the indicators required by the process to determine whether the production process is normal. If conducting environmental monitoring, it may be necessary to statistically analyze the measurement results at different locations and times to understand the trend of hydrogen concentration changes. Finally, prepare a measurement report as needed, detailing and organizing relevant information such as measurement results, measurement methods, instruments and equipment.
7. Instrument cleaning and shutdown: After the measurement is completed, the instrument should be cleaned in a timely manner to prevent sample residue from contaminating and corroding the instrument. The cleaning method generally involves rinsing the sample channel and sensor components of the instrument with clean gas or solvent. After cleaning, turn off the power of the instrument and keep it safe.
