The key role of Huilong gas generator in gas analysis
Date: 2025-08-11Read: 18

Huilong gas generator plays a key role in gas analysis due to its high purity, high stability, and intelligent control. In modern industrial production and scientific research, gas analysis technology is widely used in fields such as environmental monitoring, chemical production, medical diagnosis, and food safety. As one of the core equipment of gas analysis systems, the performance of gas generators directly affects the accuracy and stability of analysis results.

1. Working principle
Huilong gas generator mainly generates high-purity gas through physical or chemical methods to meet the needs of different analytical instruments. Common gas generators include nitrogen generators, hydrogen generators, zero air generators, etc. Their core principles are as follows:
-Nitrogen generator: Usually using pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology or membrane separation technology, high-purity nitrogen (purity up to 99.999%) is separated from compressed air.
-Hydrogen generator: Hydrogen is produced by electrolyzing pure water and then purified to ensure its purity meets the requirements of instruments such as gas chromatography (GC).
-Zero air generator: removes hydrocarbons, moisture, and particulate matter from the air through catalytic oxidation and filtration technology, providing pure "zero air" for environmental monitoring and instrument calibration.
It adopts an advanced automation control system that can monitor gas purity, flow rate, and pressure in real time, ensuring the stability and reliability of the output gas.
2. Technical advantages
Compared with the traditional gas cylinder supply method, the Huilong gas generator has the following significant advantages:
(1) High purity and stability
Adopting multiple purification technologies to ensure the purity of the output gas meets international standards (such as ISO8573) and meets the requirements of high-precision analytical instruments. For example, in gas chromatography (GC) analysis, high-purity hydrogen gas as a carrier gas can significantly improve detection sensitivity and repeatability.
(2) Safe and reliable
Traditional gas cylinders storing high-pressure gases pose risks of leakage and explosion, while gas generators produce gas on demand without storing large amounts of gas, greatly reducing safety hazards. It is also equipped with an intelligent alarm system that can monitor the operating status in real time to ensure safe operation.
(3) Economic and Environmental Protection
Gas cylinder supply requires frequent replacement and transportation, resulting in high costs, while gas generators only require electricity and a small amount of raw materials (such as deionized water), which can significantly reduce operating costs over the long term. In addition, reducing the transportation of gas cylinders is also in line with the concept of green environmental protection.
(4) Intelligent control
Controlled by PLC or microprocessor, supporting human-machine interface (HMI), users can adjust parameters such as flow and pressure in real time, and achieve unmanned operation through remote monitoring.
3. Application of Huilong Gas Generator in Gas Analysis
(1) Environmental monitoring
In air pollution monitoring, zero air generators are used to calibrate analytical instruments (such as ozone analyzers and VOCs detectors) to ensure the accuracy of measurement data. The interference free background gas it provides can effectively improve the detection limit and signal-to-noise ratio.
(2) Laboratory analysis
In analytical techniques such as gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS), high-purity nitrogen and hydrogen are used as carrier gases or combustion gases, which directly affect separation efficiency and detection sensitivity. It can provide a stable gas source, avoiding the fluctuation problem caused by gas cylinder supply.
(3) Industrial Process Control
In industries such as petrochemicals and semiconductor manufacturing, high-purity gases are used for process control and product quality testing. It can provide continuous gas supply, ensuring the stability and consistency of the production process.
(4) Medical and Food Safety
In fields such as medical respiratory gas analysis and food packaging modified atmosphere preservation, it can provide gases that meet medical or food grade standards, ensuring safety and compliance.
