Vertical tube furnaceThe instructions for use are as follows:
1、 Preparation before use
Equipment placement
Ensure that the equipment is placed on a stable surface, with no flammable or explosive materials around and good ventilation.
Check that the power cord is not damaged and the grounding wire is securely connected to avoid the risk of electrical leakage.
Furnace inspection
Confirm that there are no cracks, oxide layer detachment, or foreign object attachment on the inner wall of the furnace to avoid affecting the uniformity of heating.
Check the sealing ring of the furnace door for aging or damage, and replace it if necessary to ensure sealing.
Gas system inspection
Check that the inlet and outlet pipes are securely connected without looseness or leakage.
Confirm that the gas cylinder pressure is sufficient and the valve is not leaking. A pressure reducing valve (recommended range of 0.01MPa-0.15MPa) should be installed on the gas supply cylinder.
Sample preparation
Dry the sample to be processed and place it in the heating area in the middle of the furnace tube to ensure even distribution of the sample.
Avoid using molten liquid samples, corrosive samples, or flammable and explosive materials.
protective equipment
Wear insulated gloves, goggles, and lab coats to avoid high temperature burns or splashes.
2、 Operation steps
Assemble furnace tubes
Install pipe plugs and flanges, place sealing rings and pressure rings in order, tighten hex screws to ensure good sealing.
Tighten the screws evenly and alternately in multiple times to avoid flange deviation.
Gas replacement (if inert atmosphere protection is required)
Vacuum to -0.1 Torr, then introduce high-purity nitrogen or argon gas, repeat 2-3 times, ensuring that the oxygen content is below 100 ppm.
The gas flow rate is based on the continuous bubbling of a bubble in the safety bottle to ensure a stable atmosphere inside the furnace.
Temperature setting
Connect the power supply, turn on the power switch on the control panel, and wait for the system to complete startup.
Enter the temperature setting menu and enter the target temperature, heating rate, and holding time.
Low temperature range (such as ≤ 1000 ℃): The recommended heating rate is 5-10 ℃/min.
High temperature range (such as 1000 ℃ -1600 ℃): The recommended heating rate is ≤ 5 ℃/min.
After confirming that there are no errors, start the device.
operation monitoring
Real time monitoring of temperature, atmosphere, and other parameters. If abnormal fluctuations or heating rates do not meet requirements, adjust parameters or shut down for inspection in a timely manner.
Avoid sudden temperature changes that may cause damage to the furnace or sample.
Cooling and Sampling
After the program is completed, wait for the furnace temperature to drop below 50 ℃ before stopping ventilation, and close the gas cylinder valve and gas pipeline.
Turn off the heating power and control panel power, and disconnect the main power supply.
Open the furnace door, take out the sample and clean the residue inside the furnace.
3、 Precautions
Temperature limit
The rated temperature depends on the material of the furnace tube (such as high-purity quartz tube with a long-term use temperature of ≤ 1100 ℃).
The pressure inside the furnace tube should be equivalent to atmospheric pressure (normal pressure state), and high-temperature use under vacuum should be avoided (vacuum operating temperature ≤ 800 ℃).
pressure control
When using the equipment, the absolute pressure gauge reading should not exceed 0.15MPa to prevent equipment damage caused by excessive pressure.
If the air valve needs to be closed during heating, always pay attention to the pressure reading. If the reading is greater than 0.15MPa, the exhaust valve must be opened immediately.
safe operation
Smoking or using open flames around the equipment is strictly prohibited to avoid mixing with oxygen, hydrogen, and other combustion gases that may cause explosions.
Turn off the power before taking and placing samples to prevent electric shock; Avoid touching the heating area during operation.
Do not suddenly pull out the thermocouple at high temperatures to prevent damage to the sensor.
Furnace protection
When the furnace temperature is ≥ 300 ℃, it is forbidden to open the furnace.
When not in use for a long time, it should be baked at 120 ℃ for 1 hour and 300 ℃ for 2 hours before storage. A desiccant should be placed in the furnace to prevent moisture.
4Vertical tube furnaceMaintenance and Care
Daily cleaning
Use a vacuum cleaner or soft bristled brush to clean the dust inside the furnace and avoid carbon buildup that affects heating efficiency.
regular inspection
Check heating elements (such as resistance wires and silicon carbide rods) monthly for any breakage or oxidation.
Replace the sealing ring every 6-12 months.
Calibration and Maintenance
Calibrate thermocouples or infrared thermometers annually to ensure accurate temperature readings (error ≤ ± 1 ℃).
Replace sealing rings and thermocouples annually, and conduct a comprehensive inspection of equipment performance.
