Circulating oil tank: the "source of life" for industrial operation
Date: 2025-06-18Read: 0
In the vast system of modern industry, although the circulating oil tank may seem like an inconspicuous component, it plays a crucial and irreplaceable role. It is like the "source of life" of industrial equipment, continuously providing necessary power support and protection for various mechanical devices.
The basic structure of a circulating oil tank is not complicated, mainly composed of storage tanks, oil pumps, pipelines, and various control valves. As the core, the storage tank is responsible for accommodating a large amount of lubricating oil and providing stable oil reserves for the entire circulation system. The oil pump is like the "heart" of this system, extracting oil from the tank through strong pressure and pushing it to flow along specific pipeline routes, ensuring that the oil can accurately reach various parts of the equipment that require lubrication and cooling.
The working principle of the circulating oil tank is based on a continuous closed circuit. When the equipment is started, the oil pump starts running, sucking in lubricating oil from the oil tank and boosting it before delivering it to key friction parts of the equipment, such as bearings, gears, etc. These parts generate huge heat and wear during high-speed operation, and lubricating oil plays a dual role here: on the one hand, it forms a thin oil film, effectively reducing friction between components, reducing wear, and extending equipment service life; On the other hand, it takes away the heat generated by friction to prevent equipment from being damaged due to overheating. After completing its mission, the lubricating oil carries heat and tiny wear particles, flowing back into the oil tank through the pipeline. In the oil tank, impurities are separated through a series of filtering devices, and the hot oil is cooled by a cooler before returning to a suitable working state and preparing for the next cycle.
Circulating oil tanks have a wide range of applications in various industrial fields. In the metal processing industry, the spindle and guide rail of CNC machine tools require precise lubrication and constant temperature control. The circulating oil tank can ensure a stable flow and temperature supply of lubricating oil, ensuring machining accuracy and equipment stability. In chemical production, the normal operation of many large reaction vessels and pump bodies relies on the reliable lubrication provided by the circulating oil tank to prevent production interruptions or even safety accidents caused by friction failures.
With the continuous advancement of technology, the circulating oil tank is also constantly being upgraded and replaced. An intelligent monitoring system has been introduced, which can monitor key parameters such as temperature, pressure, liquid level, and pollution level of oil in real time, and provide timely feedback to operators to detect potential problems in advance and take measures. The new materials and manufacturing processes have improved the sealing and corrosion resistance of the oil tank, further enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the entire system.
