Vogtlin mass flowmeterThe installation specifications need to cover multiple core aspects such as environmental site selection, pipeline installation, electrical connection, and post installation inspection. At the same time, the details should be adjusted according to its different series of characteristics to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment stability. The specific specifications are as follows:
Environmental and installation location specifications
Avoid harsh environments: prioritize areas that are vibration free, temperature stable, and free of corrosive gases and fumes. Although the Red-y series has an IP67 protection level that can adapt to some harsh environments, it still needs to avoid high temperatures, high humidity, and strong electromagnetic interference sources, and maintain a distance of at least 0.6m between sensors and large transmitters or motors to prevent electromagnetic interference. If installed outdoors, additional measures for sun protection, rain protection, and lightning protection should be taken.
Ensure operation and maintenance space: The installation location should be convenient for observing display screen readings and subsequent maintenance, to avoid maintenance difficulties caused by limited space.
Installation specifications for pipelines and flow direction
Meet the requirements of straight pipe section: To eliminate the influence of fluid turbulence, it is usually required that the length of the upstream straight pipe section is not less than 5 times the pipe diameter, and the downstream is not less than 3 times the pipe diameter; Partial variable area gas flow meters require an inlet straight pipe length of not less than 5 times the pipe diameter and an outlet straight pipe length of not less than 250mm. At the same time, ensure that the inner diameter of the upstream and downstream piping is consistent with the inner diameter of the flow meter, and that the axis of the flow meter is concentric with the axis of the pipeline.
Strictly match flow direction: Install according to the flow direction markings on the equipment to ensure that the flow direction of the medium is consistent with the arrow indication and avoid significant measurement errors caused by reverse installation. For example, when installing the GIC-C9SS-BB26 model, it is necessary to connect the pipeline through the corresponding interface and confirm that the flow direction is correct.
Pipeline cleaning and connection: Before installation, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the welding slag, impurities and other dirt inside the pipeline to avoid scratching the internal components of the equipment or affecting the operation of the sensor. If it is a threaded or flange interface, matching connectors should be selected. When connecting the flange, the sealing gasket should not be recessed into the pipeline, and the fastening bolts should be symmetrically and evenly stressed; Welding with flow meters is prohibited to prevent equipment damage from welding stress. In addition, shut-off valves can be installed in the pipelines before and after the flowmeter, and bypass pipelines can be set up to facilitate maintenance without affecting production.
Control installation angle: Most models are recommended to be installed horizontally, and special attention should be paid when measuring gas to avoid gravity interference with fluid state; If some special models require vertical installation, it is necessary to ensure that the verticality is better than 2 °, and the horizontal angle should also be better than 2 ° when installed horizontally. When measuring liquids, keep them level or slightly tilted to prevent the formation of bubbles; When measuring gas, avoid installing it at the low point of the pipeline to prevent liquid accumulation inside.
Electrical Connection Specification
Power supply and polarity control: The power supply needs to match the equipment requirements, commonly ± 15VDC or+24VDC. When wiring, strictly distinguish the polarity to avoid damaging the equipment due to reverse connection. At the same time, ensure stable power output and reduce the impact of voltage fluctuations on measurement.
Take anti-interference measures: use shielded cables to connect analog signals (4-20mA/0-5VDC) or digital signals (RS485/Modbus), and verify communication protocol compatibility. Ensure good grounding of equipment to avoid signal distortion caused by electromagnetic interference, especially in industrial strong electromagnetic environments. Good grounding and shielding can significantly improve signal stability.
Inspection standards after installation
Sealing test: After installation, all interfaces need to be checked to confirm no air or water leakage through ventilation or water testing, in order to prevent fluid leakage from affecting measurement accuracy and on-site safety.
Vogtlin mass flowmeterPreheating and preliminary debugging: After power on, although the Red-Y series heat engine only takes 1 second, it is recommended to preheat the entire system for 15 minutes to balance the sensor temperature with the fluid temperature and reduce thermal drift. Subsequently, start the system to slowly fill the measuring tube with fluid to avoid air pockets or liquid hammer damage to the sensor. Then, perform a static zero adjustment operation through the device menu, repeating 2-3 times until the zero point fluctuation meets the stability index.
