LED flash speedometer is an instrument that uses LED light source and the principle of flicker effect for non-contact speed measurement. It has the advantages of high precision, fast response, and easy operation, and is widely used in fields such as electromechanical manufacturing, textile industry, scientific research and teaching.
It is generally composed of a microcontroller, LED flash, photoelectric sensor, and display module. The microcontroller is the core controller responsible for controlling the flash frequency of LED flashlights, receiving and processing signals feedback from photoelectric sensors, calculating and displaying speed; The LED flash generates a flashing signal; The photoelectric sensor receives the flash signal reflected or scattered by the measured object and converts it into an electrical signal input to the microcontroller; The display module is used to display the measurement results.
LED flash speedometer is an instrument that uses the flash characteristics of LED light source to measure the speed of objects, usually based on the principle of flicker. When the flashing frequency is synchronized with the object's motion frequency, the object appears to be stationary or slowly moving, making it easier to accurately measure rotational speed or motion speed. This type of equipment is commonly used in industrial fields, such as motor and mechanical speed detection, as well as vehicle speed measurement in traffic management.
The LED flash speedometer uses LED lights that flash at a certain frequency as the light source. When observing objects that rotate or move at high speed, adjust the flashing frequency of the LED light to make it close to or synchronized with the rotation or motion speed of the object being measured. At this time, the object being measured appears to be moving slowly or stationary, thus detecting the rotation speed or operating condition of the object.
The LED flash speedometer works based on visual persistence effect and flicker observation method:
Visual persistence effect: When observing fast-moving objects, the human eye may experience the illusion of "stillness" or "slow movement" due to the phenomenon of visual persistence.
Strobe observation method: By adjusting the flash frequency of the LED light source to synchronize with the rotation frequency of the object being measured. When the frequencies of the two are the same, the object is illuminated at the same position each time, creating a static illusion; If the frequency is slightly higher or lower, the steering can be determined by marking the direction of movement.
Signal processing: Some instruments receive reflected light signals through photoelectric sensors, convert them into electrical signals, and process them with a microcontroller to calculate the speed and display the results.
Mainly suitable for speed measurement of motors, fans, pumps, gears, etc., product quality inspection of high-speed production lines, and diagnosis of product vibration, it can be applied to industries such as HVAC, printing, papermaking, textile, light industry, and mechanical processing.
