The carbon dioxide full temperature oscillation incubator is a laboratory equipment that combines temperature control, CO ₂ concentration regulation, and oscillation functions. It is widely used in cell and microbial cultivation experiments, and its core system failure can directly affect the stability of the cultivation environment. The following are common equipment malfunctions, causes, and targeted treatment methods. -
CO ₂ concentration out of control (high/low)This is a high-frequency fault, caused by air path leakage, sensor calibration failure, and intake solenoid valve malfunction. When dealing with it, first close the CO ₂ steel cylinder valve, apply soap solution to the pipeline joints and solenoid valve interfaces, and the foaming area is the leakage point. Tighten the joints or replace the sealing ring; If there is no leakage in the gas path, the sensor needs to be recalibrated with standard concentration gas, and after calibration, observe whether the concentration is stable within the range of ± 0.5% of the set value; If the solenoid valve is stuck and cannot be opened and closed normally, remove it and clean the impurities in the valve core, or replace the solenoid valve directly.

Excessive temperature fluctuationsMainly caused by heater/cooler malfunction, temperature sensor offset, and poor sealing of the box door. First, check if the sealing strip of the box door is aging or damaged. If the sealing is not tight, replace the sealing strip in a timely manner; Observe the temperature curve of the control panel again. If the temperature rises slowly, check if the heating wire of the heater is broken. If the cooling fails, check if the refrigeration compressor is lacking in fluorine or if the starting capacitor is damaged; Calibrate the equipment temperature sensor with a standard thermometer every month to eliminate system errors.
-
Failure of oscillation function or unstable speedThe faults are mainly caused by drive motor faults, loose transmission belts, and uneven loads. If the motor does not respond, check the motor power supply circuit and overload protection switch, reset the overload switch or replace the damaged circuit; If the motor runs but the shaker does not move, check if the drive belt is loose or broken, adjust the belt tension or replace it with a new belt; If the speed fluctuates rapidly, it is necessary to reduce the number of culture bottles or evenly distribute the load to avoid eccentric operation and damage to the motor.

Abnormal humidity inside the box or growth of moldExcessive humidity can easily lead to contamination of the culture medium, caused by humidifier malfunction or clogged drainage outlets. When handling, clean the impurities in the drainage pipeline to ensure the normal discharge of condensed water; If the humidity is too low, check the humidifier water level and atomizer blades, add water in a timely manner or replace damaged atomizer blades. Wipe the inner walls and partitions of the box with 75% alcohol every week, regularly replace the antibacterial filter inside the box, and keep the box clean.

Frequent triggering of alarmsWhen low water level, overtemperature, and CO ₂ low pressure alarms occur, corresponding inspections should be conducted on the water level, temperature sensor, and cylinder pressure of the water replenishment tank; If there is an alarm without a clear reason, the device can be restarted to restore default parameters. If the fault persists, contact the manufacturer to repair the control system.
