Operation Guide for Microcomputer Automatic Particle Counting Instrument
Date: 2025-08-21Read: 0
Microcomputer automatic particle counter is a device widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and food for automated particle counting and sorting. It can accurately count, classify, and screen particles of different sizes and shapes through advanced microcomputer technology. The following is the operation guide for common microcomputer automatic particle counters:
1. Equipment installation and preliminary preparation
Equipment placement:
Place the particle counter on a stable operating platform, ensuring that the surrounding environment is clean and away from high temperatures, moisture, or strong magnetic fields.
Ensure that the device power meets the requirements, turn on the power and turn on the switch.
Connecting auxiliary devices:
If the device needs to connect external sensors (such as photoelectric sensors, infrared sensors, etc.), ensure that these sensors are properly connected to the particle counter.
Check if the data interface is properly connected to ensure accurate data transmission.
Material preparation:
Prepare the particle samples that need to be counted. According to the equipment requirements, ensure that the particle size and shape are suitable for the processing range of the equipment.
Perform necessary pre-treatment on particles, such as impurity removal, cleaning, etc., to ensure accurate counting of equipment.
2. Operating interface and function settings
Power on operation:
Press the power button to start the microcomputer automatic particle counter, and the equipment will automatically perform self inspection to ensure that all functions are normal.
After startup, the operating interface usually displays the current status of the device, including device working mode, counting progress, etc.
Select working mode:
Manual mode: suitable for manual counting of small samples, which can be counted by manually setting sampling parameters.
Automatic mode: The device automatically counts and sorts particles, suitable for processing large quantities of samples.
Sorting mode: Sort particles based on their size, weight, and other characteristics to ensure that they are grouped according to preset standards.
Set parameters:
Particle size: Set a reasonable screening range based on the actual size of the particles. Most devices support adjusting the range of particle size to accommodate different particle specifications.
Counting accuracy: Choose the appropriate counting accuracy to ensure that the device can count at the required precision.
Sampling quantity: Set the required sample quantity, and the device will sample according to the set quantity and display it in real-time.
Data storage:
Devices typically record counting results and can store or export them through the device's storage system.
You can choose to store the count results in a file format (such as Excel or PDF) and save or print it.
3. Sample counting and operation steps
Put in the sample:
Evenly place the pre processed particle sample into the feeding port of the equipment. The amount of samples should be controlled within the allowable range of the equipment to avoid overload or affecting counting accuracy.
Ensure that the sample is not contaminated by other substances to avoid affecting the counting results.
Start count:
Select the 'Start' button to start automatic counting. The device will start scanning the sample, recording the size and shape of each particle, and classifying them.
If the device has an automatic cleaning function, after counting is completed, the device will automatically clean the counting channel to prepare for the next round of use.
Observe the counting results:
On the user interface, you can view the counting process of particles in real time. The device will count particles based on preset parameters and display the counting results, sorting information, and other important data on the screen.
You can view the distribution map of particles through the display screen to see if there are any abnormal particles or particles that do not meet the requirements.
Termination Count:
After completing the counting, the device will automatically display the results. If you need to stop counting, you can press the 'Stop' button.
4. Data processing and output
View count data:
After counting is completed, the data will be displayed on the operation interface, usually including the total number of particles, the number of sorted particles, the average size and shape of the particles, etc.
If necessary, you can export the data to a computer or printer for storage and analysis through the device's interface.
Data storage and export:
As needed, the device will automatically save the counting results as a file or automatically save them according to the set time interval.
If you need to export the results, you can choose an appropriate output format (such as Excel, CSV, etc.) and export the data to an external device or computer.
Print report:
If the device is equipped with a printing function, users can choose to print the count result report for easy archiving or analysis.
5. Maintenance and upkeep
Regular cleaning:
To ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment, regularly clean the feed inlet, sensors, and screening channels of the equipment. Avoid particle residue blocking the channel or affecting counting accuracy.
Use a soft cloth to clean the surface of the equipment and avoid using corrosive cleaning agents.
Regular calibration:
Perform regular calibration according to the recommendations in the equipment manual to ensure the accuracy of the equipment. During the calibration process, it is usually necessary to use standard particles for testing.
Check the sensor:
Regularly check the sensors of the equipment, such as photoelectric sensors, infrared sensors, etc., to ensure that they are not obstructed by dust or dirt, and to avoid affecting the counting effect.
Battery replacement:
If the device uses batteries, regularly check the battery level and replace the battery in a timely manner to avoid stopping work halfway.
Precautions
Operating environment: Ensure that the equipment operates in a clean, dry, and vibration free environment, and avoid strong electromagnetic interference.
Particle processing: If the particles are fragile or extremely small, special attention should be paid to appropriate pre-treatment before use in the equipment to avoid affecting its operation.
Prevent overload: Do not put too many samples into the feeding port at the same time to avoid equipment failure due to excessive load.
Although the operation of the microcomputer automatic particle counter is simple, reasonable use and maintenance are crucial to ensure accuracy and long-term stability of the equipment.
