List some cases of sound intensity measurement using sound intensity measuring instruments

Here are some examples of sound intensity measurement using sound intensity measuring instruments:

Measurement and Analysis of Industrial Equipment Noise:
Oilfield water injection pump room: In order to evaluate the working efficiency and noise level of the oilfield water injection pump room, it is necessary to measure and analyze the sound power of its sound source. When using a sound intensity meter for measurement, first select the main sound source locations such as the water injection pump and operating machinery in the pump room as the testing points. The testing environment requires wind stillness and insulation to avoid external interference and errors. The sound intensity meter is placed perpendicular to the direction of sound wave propagation and perpendicular to the testing surface. By measuring and calculating the sound power of the sound source, the noise contribution of the pump room is evaluated, and the required noise reduction measures are determined to improve the efficiency of oilfield work and reduce noise pollution to the environment.
Micro bus engine: In the research on external noise control of micro buses, the principle of sound intensity measurement is used to identify the sound source of the engine. By conducting sound intensity testing on the engine, analyzing the contour map and frequency spectrum of sound intensity, it was determined that the main noise radiation sources of the engine come from the oil pan, exhaust manifold cover, and exhaust manifold. These noises are mainly caused by engine combustion excitation. Based on this, it is proposed to improve the structure of these shell components as one of the main measures for implementing noise reduction.
Engineering vehicle noise source localization: Based on sound intensity technology, the noise source of engineering vehicles can be located and measured. By utilizing the directional characteristics of sound intensity sensors and their ability to be unaffected by external acoustic environments, methods such as 3D sound intensity arrays are employed. Relevant data collectors and sound intensity sensors are used, combined with sound intensity software, to determine the location of noise sources in different parts of construction vehicles. This provides a basis for noise control and optimization design of vehicles.
Measurement of air conditioning sound power: In the measurement of air conditioning sound power, according to relevant national standards such as GB/T16404-1996, GB/T16404.2-1999, etc., the sound intensity method is used for measurement. By determining the measurement surface, using a sound intensity measuring instrument to collect data, and combining it with sound power software for analysis and calculation, the sound power of the air conditioner can be obtained, which helps evaluate the noise level during air conditioning operation and provides data support for product optimization and noise control.
On site sound monitoring for large-scale events: Portable sound intensity measuring instruments are often used to monitor the sound intensity at concerts, sports events, and other large-scale events. By arranging measuring instruments at different locations, real-time monitoring of sound intensity is carried out to ensure that the sound intensity is within an appropriate range, in order to ensure the auditory experience and safety of the audience. At the same time, it also helps to adjust the settings of audio equipment and optimize on-site sound effects.
Acoustic research and product development: In laboratory environments, researchers use portable sound intensity measuring instruments to conduct various acoustic experiments, such as measuring the sound absorption coefficient of different materials and analyzing the spectral characteristics of sound. In the research and testing of audio equipment, communication equipment, etc., sound intensity measuring instruments help engineers measure and analyze the sound intensity and characteristics emitted by products, thereby optimizing the acoustic performance of products and improving product quality.
