The regular maintenance of online differential pressure density meters is very important
Date: 2025-10-20Read: 20
Online differential pressure density gaugeIt is a device used for continuous online measurement of liquid concentration and density, widely used in industrial production processes. Its working principle is based on Pascal's principle, which calculates density by measuring the differential pressure of liquid at a certain vertical distance, and can automatically perform temperature compensation to ensure measurement accuracy. This device adopts an integrated two-wire transmitter structure, with no moving parts, simple installation and use, and easy maintenance.
The online differential pressure densitometer is suitable for flowing or stationary liquids and can be installed in pipelines or tanks. It supports various contact materials such as 316L stainless steel, tantalum, titanium, etc., to meet different working conditions. Its output signal is 4-20mA, which can be remotely calibrated and monitored through digital communication. It also has LCD display function, which can simultaneously display temperature and density parameters, making it easy to convert industry standards.
Online differential pressure density gaugeRegular maintenance:
1. Zero Calibration:
Purpose: To compensate for zero offset caused by static pressure, temperature drift, or minor leaks.
Method:
Carry out when the process conditions are stable.
Key: Ensure that the measured fluid fills the measuring section and that the upper and lower pressure points are at the same static pressure (i.e., Δ P=0). This usually requires isolating and emptying the process, and then filling the measuring pipe section with a liquid/gas of the same (or known) density as the measured medium to the same level.
Execute the "zero calibration" or "reset" function in the instrument menu.
Attention: This operation must be carried out by trained personnel and ensure safety.
2. Check and clean the pressure system:
Purpose: To prevent blockage of pressure pipes, isolation valves, and three valve groups (or five valve groups), which are the most common sources of failure.
Method:
Blowing/flushing: If the process allows, inert gas (such as nitrogen) or suitable cleaning solution can be used to reverse blow or flush the impulse piping to remove possible crystals, precipitates, or viscous substances.
Dismantling and cleaning: For severe blockages, it is necessary to isolate, depressurize, and drain according to safety regulations, and then disassemble the valve and pressure pipe for physical cleaning.
Check whether the valves (especially balance valves and drain valves) are flexible in opening and closing and have good sealing.
3. Check the seals and gaskets:
Check all O-ring and gasket connections for aging, deformation, and cracking. If there is any damage, it should be promptly replaced with original or standard spare parts.
4. Electrical connection inspection:
Check if the wiring terminals are securely fastened, free from looseness, oxidation, or corrosion.
Check if the cable sheath is damaged.
