The lime water tuning fork density meter has the following core modules
Date: 2025-08-21Read: 20
Lime water tuning fork density meterIt is an instrument commonly used to measure the density of liquids, which uses the resonance frequency change of a tuning fork to infer the density of the liquid. Utilize the relationship between the resonance frequency of a tuning fork and the density of the measured liquid for density measurement. When a tuning fork is immersed in a liquid, the density of the liquid affects the resonance frequency of the tuning fork. By measuring the change in resonance frequency, the density of the liquid can be inferred.
The lime water tuning fork densitometer has many advantages such as high precision, fast measurement, no need for calibration, wide applicability, real-time display, automated operation, energy saving, and durability, making it the most effective density measurement tool in many industries. By utilizing these advantages, users can more effectively measure density, improve production efficiency and product quality.
Lime water tuning fork density meterIt is a specialized instrument for measuring the density of lime water based on the principle of tuning fork vibration. Its components need to meet the requirements of accurate perception of liquid density, signal processing, and result presentation. It can be divided into the following core modules:
1、 Sensor module (core detection component)
Tuning fork sensor
It is the core component of density measurement, usually made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as 316 stainless steel, suitable for alkaline environments of lime water), and has a "U" - shaped structure.
When working, the tuning fork generates natural frequency vibration under the action of the excitation device. When immersed in lime water, the liquid density will change the vibration frequency of the tuning fork (the higher the density, the lower the vibration frequency), reflecting the density difference through frequency changes.
Incentive and vibration picking device
Excitation device: Provides vibration energy to the tuning fork through electromagnetic coils or piezoelectric elements to maintain stable vibration.
Vibration picking device: usually integrated with an excitation device, used to detect the real-time vibration frequency of a tuning fork and convert mechanical vibration signals into electrical signals (such as voltage or frequency signals).
2、 Signal processing module
Signal amplification circuit
The electrical signal output by the vibration pickup device is usually weak, and the signal strength needs to be enhanced through an amplification circuit to ensure the accuracy of subsequent processing.
Filtering and shaping circuit
Filter the noise in the signal (such as environmental electromagnetic interference, circuit noise), and shape irregular electrical signals into standard pulse signals (such as square waves) for frequency measurement.
Frequency measurement unit
The core function is to accurately measure the frequency of the shaped signal, which is implemented by commonly used chips (such as microcontrollers, FPGAs) or dedicated frequency meters to convert the frequency value into a digital signal.
3、 Data Calculation and Display Module
Central processing unit (CPU/microcontroller)
Store the preset density frequency correspondence relationship (or calibration curve), receive the digital signal from the frequency measurement unit, and calculate the density value of lime water through a built-in algorithm.
Some instruments also integrate temperature compensation function: if equipped with a temperature sensor, the CPU will adjust the density value based on temperature data (as liquid density changes with temperature).
display device
It is usually an LCD screen or digital display, which displays the measured density value in real time (units such as g/cm ³, kg/m ³), and some can also display temperature, measurement status (such as "stable" and "calibration in progress") and other information.
4、 Power and control module
power circuit
Provide the working voltage of each component of the instrument (such as 5V, 12V), usually supporting AC power supply (converted through an adapter) or DC power supply (such as lithium batteries, convenient for portable use).
Operation control unit
Including buttons (such as "power on/off", "measurement", "calibration", "reset") or touch panels, used for manual operation of instruments, such as starting measurement, entering calibration mode, etc.
5、 Auxiliary structure
Bracket and fixing device
Used to fix the tuning fork sensor, the height can be adjusted to control the depth of immersion of the tuning fork in lime water (ensuring that the vibrating part is completely submerged and does not touch the container), usually a metal or plastic material telescopic bracket.
Measuring containers
A dedicated container (or compatible with a universal beaker) is used to hold lime water samples, ensuring that the container walls are smooth and interference free (to avoid errors caused by tuning fork vibration when contacting the container).
