vacuum pump oilPrecautions for use
1. Vacuum equipment oil can have a shelf life of up to three years under sealed conditions;
2. Oil products should be stored in a cool and dry place;
After opening the oil drum for use, the remaining oil should be sealed with a lid. At the same time, use up the remaining portion as soon as possible and do not mix it with other powders and liquid impurities;
4. Environmental tools should be kept clean, and if cleaned with solvents, they should be dried before use;
5. According to the structural accuracy and usage environment of the vacuum pump, oil products with corresponding precision and quality should be selected.
vacuum pump oilPerformance requirements
vacuum pump oilMain performance requirements:
1. Extremely low vapor pressure
This is the most important performance of vacuum pump oil. Due to the high vacuum requirement of vacuum pumps, paraffin based narrow fraction lubricating oil is generally used. For diffusion vacuum pumps, low vapor pressure silicone oil or other synthetic oils can also be used.
2. Appropriate viscosity and good viscosity temperature characteristics
The volume inside the vacuum pump chamber constantly changes to form an exhaust effect, requiring lubricating oil to have appropriate viscosity and viscosity temperature characteristics.
3. Good thermal oxidation stability
Vacuum pumps are constantly developing at high speeds. Due to the high-speed friction between the slide and the pump body, the oil temperature increases, and the oil is easily oxidized and decomposed. Especially for diffusion pumps, they often work in high temperature environments, causing the vapor pressure in the system to increase and the vacuum degree to decrease. Therefore, it is required that the vacuum pump oil has good thermal oxidation stability.
4. In vacuum pumps, vacuum pump oil not only serves as a medium for obtaining vacuum, but also lubricates, cools, and seals mechanical friction points.
5. Higher flash point
The main requirement is that the vacuum pump should not carry light components to avoid affecting the saturated vapor pressure of the oil.
6. Lower ultimate pressure
Ultimate pressure is an important performance indicator for vacuum pump oil to understand the ultimate pressure of a vacuum pump at the lowest vacuum ultimate pressure.
