How to interpret the test results of ACL800 heavy hammer surface resistance tester?
Date: 2025-09-04Read: 0
ACL800 Heavy Hammer Surface Resistance TesterIt is a professional instrument used for testing anti-static resistance, which can repeatedly test the surface resistance of various static conductive, static dissipative, and insulating materials. When interpreting its test results, the following steps can be followed:
1、 Understand the testing parameters
The ACL800 tester typically displays three main parameters: resistance (in ohms), relative humidity, and temperature. These three parameters collectively reflect the electrical characteristics of the measured object and its susceptibility to environmental factors.
2、 Interpretation of resistance value
1. Display of resistance value: the display screen of the tester will directly display the resistance value, which is usually expressed in Scientific notation, for example, "8.41e07 ohms/sq" indicates that the surface resistance is 8.41 × 10 ^ 7 Ω.
2. Measurement scale selection: The tester has two measurement scales of 10 volts and 100 volts. Select the appropriate measurement scale based on the impedance value of the object being measured. Usually, when the impedance value is greater than 10 ^ 6 ohms/□, 100 volts are used for measurement; When the impedance value is less than 10 ^ 6 ohms/□, use 10 volts for measurement.
3、 Consider environmental factors
Temperature and humidity directly affect the electrical characteristics of the object being measured. Therefore, when interpreting test results, these two factors must be considered:
1. Temperature: As the temperature increases, the fluidity of free electricity increases, thereby enhancing the conductivity of the material. Therefore, the resistance value measured at higher temperatures may be lower.
2. Humidity: Under high humidity conditions, the surface of an object may condense or adsorb a thin film of water, which enhances the conductivity of the material due to its hygroscopicity. On the contrary, under low humidity conditions, the resistance of an object will significantly increase.
4、 Comprehensive judgment
By combining the three parameters of resistance value, relative humidity, and temperature, the electrical characteristics of the measured object can be comprehensively judged. For example, if the measured resistance value is high and the relative humidity is low, it can be inferred that the conductivity of the tested object is poor in a dry environment. On the contrary, if the measured resistance value is low and the relative humidity is high, it can be inferred that the tested object has good conductivity in a humid environment.
5、 Precautions
Before conducting the test,ACL800 Heavy Hammer Surface Resistance TesterIt should be ensured that the surface to be tested is clean and free of contamination to avoid affecting the test results.
During the testing process, the user manual and corresponding testing standards of the tester should be followed for operation.
3. For the measurement of high impedance materials, in order to ensure high-precision measurement results, attention should be paid not to overlap the two leads, and not to touch the probe, leads, and the object being measured with hands.
To interpret the test results of the ACL800 heavy hammer surface resistance tester, it is necessary to comprehensively consider three parameters: resistance value, relative humidity, and temperature, and make a comprehensive judgment based on the actual situation of the tested object.
