Vehicle mounted cameras play an important role in achieving ADAS and autonomous driving. As an important sensor for perception, vehicle mounted cameras mainly include lenses, CMOS sensors: DSP, module assembly, and other components to ensure safe driving.The main function of the camera lens is to focus the image onto the image sensor. In actual driving conditions, if the airtightness of the car camera is not good, it is easy for water vapor to enter the interior through the lens in special weather conditions such as rain and snow, damaging the structure of the chip and causing the camera to malfunction. Therefore, the sealing assembly and airtightness testing of the head are particularly critical, and in the final step of the finished product, it also needs to be tested. We can roughly divide the testing into the following types:

1、 Airtightness testing: It mainly requires the use of rain test chambers and sand and dust test chambers, which can effectively detect the leakage of the lens under simulated rain and wind and sand environments. The instrument calculates the leakage estimate of the lens by sensing the pressure changes inside the fixture, and thus determines whether the airtightness of the lens meets the standard.

2、 Mechanical performance testing simulates mechanical vibration free fall, lens wear resistance, mechanical impact, and wire harness pull-out force. The main testing equipment used includes mechanical vibration table, computer servo tensile testing machine, acceleration impact testing table, etc.

3、 The commonly used testing equipment for environmental weather resistance, wet heat cycle, salt spray corrosion, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, temperature gradient, temperature cycle, high and low temperature alternation, ice water impact, etc. include constant temperature and humidity test chambers, cold and hot impact chambers, salt spray aging test chambers, UV aging test chambers, etc.
