Common troubleshooting tips for air-cooled cold and hot shock test chambers
Date: 2025-12-15Read: 2
The air-cooled cold and hot shock test chamber is prone to malfunction due to improper operation and environmental factors during long-term operation. Timely troubleshooting can reduce equipment wear and tear. The following are the key troubleshooting points for core faults, with a total length of about 700 words.
  1. The temperature cannot reach the set valueIf the temperature rise in the high-temperature area is slow or cannot reach the upper limit, first check whether the heating tube is working properly. You can check the heating circuit current through the control cabinet ammeter. If there is no current, it may be due to the heating tube burning out or contactor failure. If the cooling in the low-temperature area is insufficient, it is necessary to confirm whether the heat dissipation vents are blocked. If the ambient temperature is too high, it will affect the cooling efficiency; Check the compressor again. If there is no cooling effect after starting the compressor, it may be due to refrigerant leakage or damage to the compressor valve plate. Contact a professional for maintenance. At the same time, check if the air valve switch is in place. If the air valve is stuck, it will cause poor delivery of cold and hot air flow, affecting the temperature in the testing area.
  2. The temperature conversion time is too longIf the temperature shock conversion time exceeds the standard value of 10 seconds, first check whether the sample placement is too dense. If the sample blocks the airflow channel, it will delay temperature exchange; Next, check the fan speed. Fan failure or insufficient speed can cause a decrease in airflow circulation efficiency. The fan frequency can be adjusted or the fan bearings can be replaced through the control cabinet. In addition, aging and damage to the sealing strip of the box door can cause temperature leakage. It is necessary to observe whether the sealing strip is cracked or deformed, and replace the sealing components in a timely manner.
  3. Frequent device alarmsWhen triggering an over temperature alarm, first confirm whether the set temperature exceeds the rated range of the equipment, and then check whether the over temperature protection sensor is loose or malfunctioning. Poor sensor contact can cause false alarms. Compressor delay protection alarm is often caused by frequent starting and stopping of equipment in a short period of time. It is necessary to stop the equipment for 30 minutes before restarting, and at the same time check whether the power supply voltage is stable. Excessive voltage fluctuations can trigger the compressor protection mechanism. For leakage alarm, it is necessary to check whether the power cord is damaged and whether the grounding is reliable, in order to avoid safety hazards caused by circuit short circuits.
  4. Excessive noise during operationAbnormal noise occurs during equipment operation, most likely due to wear of fan blades or lack of oil in bearings. It is necessary to disassemble the fan, clean the blades, and add lubricating oil; If the compressor makes a knocking sound, it may be due to loose internal parts or insufficient refrigerant, and the machine should be stopped immediately. It is forbidden to continue running to avoid damaging the compressor.
Troubleshooting should follow the principle of "power off first, then troubleshooting", and daily equipment cleaning and maintenance should be done well. Regularly clean the heat dissipation filter and check the pipeline joints to reduce the occurrence rate of faults.
