The installation steps of RUB friction decolorization testing machine are as follows
Date: 2025-06-14Read: 0
RUB friction decolorization testing machineIt is a testing device used to evaluate the degree of damage and surface color transfer of materials after being subjected to external friction. Mainly used for friction tests of colored materials such as shoe uppers, leather, plastics, and textiles under different conditions such as dry, wet, sweat, alcohol, organic solutions, etc., to evaluate the degree of damage and surface color transfer of these materials after friction.
Its working principle is to simulate the friction process in actual use by rubbing the rotating wool felt against the sample. During the friction process, the wool felt presses down on the sample with a fixed weight and rotates, thereby rubbing the sample. After a certain number of frictions, the decolorization level of the sample is determined by comparing the wool felt after friction with the standard staining card.

1. Host placement and fixation
Horizontal adjustment:
Place the host on the workbench and use a spirit level to check if the base is level.
Ensure that the equipment is level (with an error of ≤ 0.1mm) by adjusting the leveling screws (if any) or washers at the bottom of the host.
Fixed equipment:
If the tabletop is unstable or the equipment is heavy, bolts can be used to fix the host on the tabletop (attention should be paid to grounding protection).
2. Install friction head and pressure device
Friction head installation:
Choose friction heads based on testing requirements (such as standard wool, cotton cloth, or customized materials).
Fix the friction head on the reciprocating shaft, ensuring that the connection is tight and not loose (usually fixed by screws or buckles).
Pressure device calibration:
Adjust the pressure loading system (such as weights, springs, or pneumatic devices) to ensure that the pressure of the friction head on the sample meets the standard (such as 9N ± 0.2N).
Use a pressure gauge or calibration weight to verify the pressure value, and adjust the counterweight or air pressure parameters if necessary.
3. Install sample fixing table
Clean the fixed table:
Wipe the surface of the fixed table with alcohol to remove oil stains or dust, ensuring that the sample fits smoothly.
Installation fixture:
Fix the sample fixture (such as pressure plate, double-sided tape or vacuum adsorption device) on the platform to ensure uniform clamping force and no damage to the sample.
4. Connect power supply and control system
Power connection:
Confirm the rated voltage of the equipment (such as 220V/50Hz) and plug it into a grounded power outlet.
Check if the power cord is intact and avoid exposing wires to metal parts.
Control system settings:
Turn on the power switch and check if the display screen, buttons, or touch screen are responding properly.
According to the testing standards, preset parameters such as reciprocating frequency, speed, and pressure to ensure normal communication between the controller and the host.
5. Debugging and trial operation
Empty load test:
Start the device and observe whether the friction head moves smoothly back and forth on the guide rail without any jamming or abnormal noise.
Check if the travel range (e.g. 10-50mm) meets the requirements and adjust the limit screw or sensor.
Pressure verification:
Place a load cell or standard weight on the sample stage, simulate the test pressure, and confirm the accuracy of the pressure value.
Trial operation:
Conduct a trial run using discarded samples (such as old fabrics) and observe whether the friction head evenly contacts the surface of the sample.
Check if the emergency stop button, safety cover and other safety devices are effective.
