Mainly used for friction tests of colored materials such as shoe uppers, leather, plastics, and textiles under different conditions such as dry, wet, sweat, alcohol, organic solutions, etc., to evaluate the degree of damage and surface color transfer of these materials after friction. Its working principle is to simulate the friction process in actual use by rubbing the rotating wool felt against the sample. During the friction process, the wool felt presses down on the sample with a fixed weight and rotates, thereby rubbing the sample. After a certain number of frictions, the decolorization level of the sample is determined by comparing the wool felt after friction with the standard staining card.

1. Host structure
Hard platform (made of metal material): used to fix the specimen and ensure its stable position during the friction process.
Vertical rotation axis: Fix the circular felt pad and apply friction to the sample through rotation.
Base and leveling device: supporting the entire equipment, some models are equipped with leveling screws or washers to ensure that the equipment is placed horizontally (with an error of ≤ 0.1mm) and avoid affecting the test results due to tilting.
2. Friction components
Circular felt pad:
Material: wool or cotton (choose according to testing requirements).
Specifications: Outer diameter (25 ± 1) mm, central aperture (3 ± 0.5) mm, thickness 6.5mm ± 0.5mm.
Function: Press the sample with a fixed pressure, generate friction through rotation, and simulate the wear process in actual use.
Friction head fixing device: Use screws or buckles to fix the friction head (such as wool felt or cotton cloth) on the rotating shaft, ensuring that the connection is tight and not loose.
3. Pressure loading system
Load weight:
Specification: Two pressure options are available, namely (24.5 ± 0.5) N and (7.1 ± 0.2) N.
Function: Apply standard pressure to the friction head through weights or spring devices to ensure consistent testing conditions.
Pressure regulating mechanism: Some models support pressure fine-tuning to meet the testing needs of different materials.
4. Drive and transmission system
Electric motor: drives the rotating shaft to rotate and drives the felt pad to rotate.
Reducer: Control the rotational speed to ensure stable friction frequency (such as (149 ± 4.8) r/min or 150 ± 5 RPM).
Transmission components: such as belts, gears, etc., transmit power and reduce vibration.
5. Counter and Control System
Counter:
Type: LCD screen display, can set the number of tests (0~99999999 times).
Function: Record the number of friction cycles and automatically stop testing when the set value is reached.
control panel:
Function: Set test parameters (such as pressure, speed, frequency), start/stop testing, display test status.
Interface: Some models support connection with computers to achieve data export and analysis.
6. Sample fixture
Metal sheet:
Specification: 75 × 65 × 5mm (length × width × thickness), with a center hole diameter of 25mm.
Function: Fix the back of the sample to prevent it from moving or deforming during the testing process.
Fixture design:
Adjustable: Supports fixing of samples of different sizes (such as 60 × 60mm square or 60mm diameter circle).
Anti damage design: The edge of the fixture is smooth to avoid damaging the specimen during clamping.
7. Accessories and consumables
Wool felt:
Quantity: Usually equipped with 20 spare pieces.
Replacement cycle: Regularly replace according to wear and tear to ensure testing accuracy.
Color card:
Type: Standard gray sample card (such as AATCC gray card).
Function: Compare the color of the wool felt and sample card after friction to determine the decolorization level of the sample.
Standard light source color box (optional):
Function: Provide unified lighting conditions to ensure objective color contrast results.
8. Power supply and safety devices
