Can't the high and low temperature test chamber lower the temperature? Is it the compressor but the refrigerant?
Date: 2025-12-09Read: 0

When the high and low temperature test chamber cannot cool down, the lack of refrigerant (refrigerant) in the compressor may be one of the possible reasons, but it is not the cause. It needs to be comprehensively investigated in conjunction with the status of other key components. The following is a specific analysis:

The impact of compressor refrigerant shortage

Decreased cooling capacity: The refrigerant is the "blood" in the refrigeration system, responsible for circulating in components such as evaporators and condensers, absorbing and dissipating heat. If the refrigerant is insufficient or leaks, the refrigeration cycle will not function properly, resulting in a significant decrease in refrigeration capacity.

Compressor malfunction: When the refrigerant is insufficient, the compressor may not be able to compress properly due to a lack of sufficient refrigerant, resulting in an abnormal increase in exhaust temperature and even causing compressor failure.

Other possible reasons that may prevent cooling

Compressor malfunction:

The compressor is the core component of the refrigeration system. If it is damaged, not turned on, or operates abnormally (such as exhaust and suction pressures below normal levels), it will directly affect the refrigeration effect.

Troubleshooting method: Observe whether the compressor is running normally and whether there are any abnormal noises or vibrations. Check the operating current, voltage, temperature and other parameters of the compressor to determine if it is working properly.

Poor heat dissipation of condenser:

The condenser is responsible for cooling the refrigerant from a gaseous state to a liquid state, and its heat dissipation effect directly affects the refrigeration efficiency. If a large amount of dust and debris accumulates on the surface of the condenser, or if the cooling fan fails, it will cause the condensation pressure to be too high, thereby affecting the refrigeration effect.

Troubleshooting method: Clean the dust and debris on the surface of the condenser to ensure the normal operation of the cooling fan.

Abnormal operation of solenoid valve:

Electromagnetic valves are responsible for controlling the flow and circulation of refrigerant. If the solenoid valve operates abnormally, it will affect the flow of refrigerant, thereby affecting the refrigeration effect.

Troubleshooting method: Replace the solenoid valve and check if the control circuit of the solenoid valve is normal.

Capillary blockage:

Capillary tube is an important component in refrigeration systems, responsible for regulating the flow of refrigerant. If the capillary tube is blocked, it will cause the refrigerant to not flow smoothly, affecting the refrigeration effect.

Troubleshooting method: Replace the capillary tube and replace the dry filter. Blow clean the impurities in the condensation system with nitrogen, and then add refrigerant for debugging.

Temperature sensor malfunction:

The temperature sensor is used to monitor the temperature inside the box in real time and provide feedback to the control system. If the sensor malfunctions, the temperature signal received by the control system will be inaccurate, resulting in the inability to adjust the temperature correctly.

Troubleshooting method: Use professional temperature detection instruments to calibrate the temperature sensor. If there is still a significant error after calibration, the sensor should be replaced in a timely manner.

Controller malfunction:

The controller is the "brain" of the high and low temperature test chamber, commanding the collaborative work of various components. If the controller malfunctions, it will affect the normal operation of the refrigeration system.

Troubleshooting method: Check if the parameter settings of the controller are correct, such as low temperature setting values, control modes, etc. If the parameters are correct, try restarting the controller to see if it can restore normal operation. If the problem persists, it may be due to a malfunction in the internal circuit of the controller, and professional technicians need to be contacted for maintenance or replacement.

Sealing problem of test box:

If the door of the test chamber is not tightly sealed, external hot air will continuously enter the chamber, affecting the cooling effect.

Troubleshooting method: Carefully check whether the sealing strip of the box door is aging, deformed, or damaged. If so, replace the sealing strip in a timely manner to ensure good sealing of the box door.

Excessive load:

If there are too many test samples or the volume is too large, exceeding the load-bearing capacity of the test chamber, it will cause the refrigeration system to be overloaded, leading to difficulties in cooling down.

Troubleshooting method: Reasonably arrange the quantity and placement of test samples to avoid excessive load.
