The GRYLLS series high-precision gas mass flow controller is used in conjunction with nitrogen mass flow testing and control for a project under the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).
The company is affiliated with a Gansu company under the China National Nuclear Corporation. In August, it purchased a batch of external explosion-proof mass flow meters/controllers for use in the Gansu project. The technical engineers of the company had multiple communications and technical exchanges with the sales engineers of Gree Electromechanical, especially in the customization of explosion-proof, the difference between the increased safety type and the intrinsic safety type lies in the different explosion-proof principles.
The explosion-proof principle of the increased safety type is actually the principle of sealing, which separates the dangerous gases inside and outside.
The explosion-proof principle of intrinsic safety type: Intrinsic safety type is a complex system, and the circuits installed in hazardous areas are inherently safe, that is, the energy, current, and voltage of this part of the circuit are limited and protected, and will not ignite the gas in the hazardous area.
The explosion-proof type will set up equipment that can generate spark arcs during normal operation, with components placed inside the explosion-proof shell. The explosion-proof shell can withstand external explosive pressure without damage, and can also reduce energy when the external flame gas passes through the gap, lacking the ability to ignite the gas outside the shell.
Later, both parties confirmed that the customized quality flow meter model is: range 0-100SLPM, communication method RS485, output signal 4-20mA, power supply DC24V, threaded connection explosion-proof type, 0.5 level high precision, external explosion-proof box gas mass flow controller/integrated type.

The Grylls5950 series mass flow controller uses the principle of capillary heat transfer before and after temperature difference calorimetry to measure the mass flow rate of gas, which is not affected by temperature and pressure. Amplify the flow signal measured by the sensor, compare it with the set voltage, and use the difference to drive and control the regulating valve, closed-loop control the flow rate through the channel to be equal to the set flow rate.
