In the power industry, flash point testing of oil products is required before the commissioning of new transformers, reactors, and other equipment, as well as after major equipment repairs. During the operation of the equipment, it is necessary to conduct periodic inspections of the oil products. The main purpose is to prevent and detect the presence of light fractions in oil products through flash point testing, thereby determining the risk of fire in oil products and ensuring the safe operation of equipment. In October 2014, the National Energy Administration officially released the flash point testing standard DL/T1354-2014 "Determination of Closed Flash Point of Electric Power Oil by Micro normally Closed Method" applicable to the power industry, which was officially implemented in March 2015. This standard provides a new method basis for flash point testing in the power industry. This standard specifies the basic requirements for determining the closed flash point of electric power oil using the trace normally closed method. This standard applies to transformer oil, turbine oil, or other oil samples with a flash point of 40 ℃ -250 ℃.
