The structural composition and function of high-temperature glass reaction kettle
Date: 2025-11-12Read: 3
A high-temperature glass reactor is a device used for conducting chemical reactions, typically in the process of heating, mixing, and reacting liquids and gases at high temperatures. Unlike traditional metal reaction vessels, glass reaction vessels have high transparency, making it easy to observe the reaction process, which is particularly important for scientific research and experimentation. The material of glass reaction vessels has high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for handling many strong acids, strong alkalis, and other highly corrosive substances.

  High temperature glass reactorWorking principle:
1. Heating: Heating the materials inside the reaction vessel to the desired temperature through methods such as electric heating or steam heating. The high temperature resistance performance can ensure its normal operation under high temperature conditions.
2. Stirring: The reaction vessel is equipped with a stirring system, usually driven by a motor-driven stirring rod. By stirring, the reactants can be evenly mixed to ensure a balanced reaction rate.
3. Reaction: In the reaction vessel, the reactants undergo a chemical reaction under high temperature and stirring. Temperature, pressure, and stirring rate all directly affect the progress and products of the reaction.
4. Cooling and control: After the reaction is complete, the temperature of the reaction kettle can be lowered through a cooling system, or various parameters during the reaction process can be precisely controlled through a control system to ensure the best reaction effect.
Structural composition:
1. Reactor body: The reactor body is made of high borosilicate glass (such as Pyrex or Kovar glass), which has strong high temperature resistance and chemical stability. Glass materials can not only withstand high temperatures, but also resist corrosion, making them suitable for handling corrosive substances such as strong acids and alkalis.
2. Heating system: Heating systems usually use electric heating or steam heating methods. Electric heating plates or electric heating sleeves can uniformly heat the reaction kettle, ensuring stable reaction temperature.
3. Mixing system: The mixing system is achieved through a motor-driven mixing rod, which can effectively promote the mixing of reactants. There are many types of agitators, such as single blade agitator, double blade agitator, or magnetic agitator.
4. Sealing system: In order to prevent the leakage of reactants or the entry of air into the reactor, the reactor is usually equipped with a sealing device. Common sealing devices include rubber sealing rings or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seals.
5. Cooling system: The cooling system is mainly used to quickly lower the temperature of the reaction vessel to a safe range after the reaction is completed. The cooling system is generally achieved by circulating cooling water.
6. Instrument control system: Typically equipped with precision instrument control systems, it is used to monitor and control parameters such as temperature, pressure, and stirring speed during the reaction process, ensuring that the reaction process is carried out under safe and optimal conditions.
Application areas of high-temperature glass reaction kettle:
1. Chemical industry: used for synthesizing high-temperature and highly corrosive chemicals. For example, synthetic resins, dyes, pesticides, etc.
2. Pharmaceutical industry: Used for the synthesis and reaction of drugs in the pharmaceutical process, especially for drugs that require high temperature or high pressure conditions for reaction.
3. Food and beverage industry: used for the concentration, extraction, and other chemical processing of food, such as high-temperature extraction of active ingredients from liquid food.
4. Environmental protection industry: In environmental protection projects such as wastewater treatment and exhaust gas purification, glass reactors are commonly used for chemical reactions and pollutant degradation.
5. Scientific research experiments: Due to their excellent transparency and controllability, they are widely used in laboratory chemical reaction research.
