Electrochemical rapid evaluation of anti-corrosion performance of AC/DC/AC coatings
In industrial applications, organic anti-corrosion coatings are widely used for corrosion protection of active metals. Organic coatings not only maintain their excellent corrosion protection, but more importantly, extend the service life of the base metal. Therefore, it is crucial to study a method that can quickly and reasonably evaluate the corrosion resistance of organic coatings. At present, an AC/DC/AC technique combining electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and negative potential polarization has been proven to rapidly evaluate the corrosion resistance of organic coatings. This coating rapid evaluation technology (REAP) evaluates the time to failure (TTF) quickly within 24 hours by combining different electrochemical techniques.
