1、 Working principle
The flash velocimeter operates based on the visual persistence effect (also known as the post visual effect) of the human eye. The instrument itself is a frequency controllable strobe light. When the flashing frequency of the light is consistent with the rotation frequency of the measured rotor, the human eye can observe a stable image.
At this point, the rotation speed can be obtained by simply reading the flash frequency. This non-contact measurement method does not consume the kinetic energy of the measured object and does not interfere with the operation of the equipment, making it an ideal choice for mechanical equipment status detection.

1. Measurement range and accuracy
The SZS-1 flash speedometer has two range gears, which can meet the measurement needs of different speed ranges: the first gear has a measurement range of 200-3000 revolutions per minute, and the second gear has a measurement range of 3000-20000 revolutions per minute. The measurement accuracy of the instrument is as high as ± (1 × 10?? × reading+1) revolutions per minute, which means that even under high-speed conditions, high measurement accuracy can still be maintained.
2. Display and power supply
This instrument uses a 5-digit LED digital display, with clear and bright values that can be easily read even in poor lighting environments. The power specification is 220V ± 10%, with a maximum power consumption of less than 20 watts, suitable for industrial environments.

4、 Operation guide and usage skills
Basic operating steps
1. Marking setting: Mark or identify existing feature markings (preferably asymmetric markings) near the center of the object being measured.
2. Power on preparation: Rotate the gear to the power on position, turn on the power, and the display screen will show the last saved test speed of the flash speedometer.
3. Unknown speed measurement: If the approximate range of the speed value of the object to be measured is unknown, first place the button switch in the first gear. Turn the fine adjustment knob clockwise to the head first, align the flash with the mark, and adjust the fine adjustment knob counterclockwise while observing the mark. When a single stable image appears for the first time, the reading displayed on the screen is the revolutions per minute of the measured object.
4. Known speed measurement: If the speed range of the object being measured is known, the speedometer can be adjusted to the corresponding test speed first, and then fine tuned to change the flash from high speed to low speed. When a stable single image appears for the first time, the reading on the display screen is the speed of the object being measured.
Dynamic observation techniques
When the first single image appears, fine tune the test speed to make the flash frequency slightly different from the speed. In this way, the image is not stationary but rotates slowly, and the rotation direction and speed of the image are finely controlled. This function is very suitable for observing the dynamic characteristics and unbalanced state of rotating bodies.
5、 Precautions for use
1. Before use, ensure that the working environment meets the power requirements to avoid unstable voltage affecting measurement accuracy
2. During measurement, it is necessary to ensure that there is no obstruction between the flash and the object being measured to avoid light interference
3. For highly reflective surfaces, matte markings can be considered to improve the observation effect
