The role and application fields of laboratory copying machines
Date: 2025-12-02Read: 1

The laboratory copying machine is a type of wet forming equipment based on the fast Kaiser method or Tappi standard forming method. Its core function is to process various fiber raw materials such as plant fibers, animal fibers, inorganic fibers, chemical fibers, and synthetic fibers into paper or thin sheet materials. Some models can integrate atmospheric pressure high-temperature drying systems or vacuum high-temperature drying systems to achieve rapid drying and processing of materials.

In terms of technical design, the molding specifications of this equipment cover various types such as circular, square, rectangular, etc., and the size can be customized as needed within the range of 200-600mm. The sheet weight can meet a wide range of needs from 10g-3000g/㎡. The main body of the body is made of 304 # stainless steel material (excluding the operation panel and some components), which has acid and alkali resistance and is suitable for processing various complex fiber materials. The homogenization method supports automatic and manual switching, and the forming uniformity is controlled by a dot matrix to reach 0.235cm ²/H. The deformation control of the mesh strictly follows the TAPPI mode, with a spacing of less than 0.2mm. The water filtration structure adopts a three-layer design and a double layered mesh configuration, combined with on-site cleaning function of the mesh, without the need to disassemble and clean the forming mesh separately, reducing maintenance costs.

The vacuum system design combines two modes: gravity vacuum and strong vacuum. The suction vacuum degree can be adjusted within the range of -0.001~-0.06Mpa according to the material characteristics, while the drying vacuum degree can be infinitely variable from -0.01~-0.09Mpa. The heating method adopts disc heating to ensure uniform temperature in the transverse direction. The drying temperature can be infinitely controlled between room temperature and 120 ℃, and the drying time can be adjusted from 1 to 99.99 minutes. The temperature control system adopts imported configuration to ensure accuracy. In addition, the equipment is equipped with a white water circulation system, a one key tap water circulation system, and a pure silicone vacuum sealing membrane cover. The water ring vacuum is paired with a 5-channel PTFE high-temperature and high-pressure corrosion-resistant pipeline, further enhancing the stability and adaptability of the equipment.

The application scenarios of this device cover a wide range of fields including scientific research and industrial development. In the traditional pulp and paper industry, it can be used for the cutting and shaping of various pulp types such as wood pulp, bamboo pulp, cotton pulp, straw pulp, and waste paper pulp; In the field of inorganic fibers, it is suitable for wet processing of materials such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, ceramic fiber, etc. The glass fiber model can process short cut fibers with a length range of 3-36mm, while the ceramic fiber model is compatible with mullite fibers such as aluminum silicate, alumina, zirconia, and silicon carbide fibers; In the field of polymer chemical fibers, composite molding of aramid 1313, aramid 1414 and pulp can be achieved, as well as wet processing of raw materials such as PPS fiber, PET fiber, PBO fiber, PE/PP fiber, PI fiber, etc. The molding concentration can be flexibly adjusted within the pulp concentration range of 0.00001% -1%.

In the field of new materials, this device can be used for the preparation of thin sheets of materials such as nanocellulose fibers, microcrystalline cellulose fibers, graphene, carbon nanotube fibers, etc; In the field of mineral fibers, it can adapt to the wet forming of basalt fibers, sepiolite fibers, asbestos fibers, coal slag fibers and their composite materials. The sheet-like samples prepared by this device can support systematic quantitative analysis and characterization of wet forming process parameters, formulation systems, product physical properties (such as mechanical strength and breathability), optoelectronic properties (such as conductivity and light transmittance), and chemical properties (such as chemical resistance and surface energy), providing data support for material research and process optimization in related fields.

The production and manufacturing of this equipment follows multiple standards such as ZMV/8/76, GB/T24324-2009, ISO 5269/2, ISO 5269/3, TAPPI T-205, etc., ensuring the standardization and reliability of product performance. At the same time, it supports non-standard customization and can adjust equipment configuration according to the specific needs of different application scenarios.
