Safety performance during operation of carbonization coefficient test chamber

The carbonization coefficient test chamber has multiple safety performance designs during operation, covering equipment structure, electrical control, gas management, environmental adaptability, and operating standards. The specific analysis is as follows:
1、 Equipment structure safety
Sealing design
The box adopts a double-layer structure (cold-rolled steel plate electrostatic spraying for the outer box, stainless steel plate for the inner tank), with a polyurethane foam insulation layer filled in the middle to ensure sealing.
The box door is equipped with insulated glass observation windows and silicone sealing strips to prevent gas leakage and reduce heat and humidity loss.
The specimen rack is made of stainless steel profiles, which have stable load-bearing capacity and corrosion resistance, avoiding the risk of specimen slipping or tipping.

The inner liner and key components (such as shelves and specimen racks) are made of stainless steel material, which resists the corrosion of acidic substances released during the carbonation process of concrete and extends the service life of the equipment.
The outer box is treated with electrostatic spraying to prevent rusting in humid environments.
2、 Electrical control system safety
Overload and leakage protection
The equipment is equipped with a leakage protector, which automatically cuts off power when there is leakage or abnormal current in the circuit, preventing electric shock accidents.
The heating, cooling, humidification and other modules adopt independent control circuits to avoid overall system paralysis caused by a single fault.
Temperature and humidity safety control
Temperature protection: Real time monitoring of the temperature inside the box through PT100 temperature sensor. If the temperature exceeds the set range (such as ± 2 ℃), the system automatically starts the heating or cooling module adjustment to prevent equipment damage or specimen deterioration caused by high temperature.
Humidity protection: Adopting evaporative moisture absorption dehumidification technology, the compressor is started for dehumidification when the humidity is too high, and the humidifier is automatically turned on when it is too low, to avoid humidity fluctuations affecting test results or causing electrical faults.
CO ₂ concentration safety control
Imported infrared carbon dioxide sensors monitor concentration in real-time. If the concentration exceeds the set range (such as 20 ± 3%), the system automatically closes the CO ₂ gas cylinder valve or activates the exhaust function to prevent personnel suffocation or equipment corrosion caused by high concentration.
The pneumatic system is equipped with one-way valves and pressure gauges to prevent gas backflow or abnormal pressure (such as automatic pressure relief when exceeding 0.1MPa).
3、 Gas management safety
CO ₂ gas cylinder fixation and depressurization
The gas cylinder should be fixed on a dedicated bracket, away from sources of fire and high-temperature areas, to avoid the risk of tipping or explosion.
Equipped with a pressure reducing valve, the high pressure of the gas cylinder (such as 15MPa) is reduced to the required low pressure for the test (such as 0.01MPa) to prevent direct impact of high-pressure gas on equipment or personnel.
Gas leakage monitoring
It is recommended to equip a CO ₂ concentration alarm, which will sound an alarm when the CO ₂ concentration in the box or surrounding environment exceeds the safety threshold (such as 10000ppm), reminding operators to handle it in a timely manner.
4、 Environmental adaptability and safety
Ventilation and heat dissipation
The equipment should be placed in a well ventilated environment to avoid prolonged closed operation that may cause excessive internal temperature or gas accumulation.
Compressor, heating tube and other heating components are equipped with cooling fans to ensure stable operation.
Moisture and dust prevention
The control panel adopts a sealed design to prevent moisture or dust from entering and causing short circuits or poor contact.
Regularly clean the condensation water inside the box to avoid bacterial growth or corrosion of electrical components.
5、 Operational norms and safety
Pre-operation check
Confirm that the power supply (220VAC) and gas source (CO ₂ gas cylinder) are connected properly, the appearance of the equipment is undamaged, and the sealing strip of the box door is intact.
Calibrate temperature and humidity sensors and CO ₂ concentration detectors to ensure accuracy meets standards (such as temperature ± 0.5 ℃, humidity ± 3%, CO ₂ concentration ± 1%).
Precautions during the experiment
It is strictly prohibited to frequently open the box door, and the opening time should not exceed 1 minute each time to avoid environmental parameter fluctuations affecting the test results or causing equipment failures.
Regularly record the temperature, humidity, and CO ₂ concentration inside the box (such as once a day), and adjust any abnormalities promptly (if the CO ₂ concentration is below 17%, additional inflation is required).
Post test maintenance
Turn off the gas source and power supply, clean the residual test piece debris inside the box, and keep the equipment clean.
Before long-term use, keep the box dry to prevent mold growth or component corrosion.
6、 Safety certification and standards
The equipment complies with the requirements of GB/T50082-2009 "Test Methods for Long term Performance and Durability of Ordinary Concrete", and has passed relevant safety certifications (such as CE certification) to ensure that the design, manufacturing, and testing processes comply with international safety regulations.
