Experience Sharing of High Voltage Accelerated Aging Test Chamber Operation
Date: 2025-07-02Read: 0
The high-voltage accelerated aging test chamber is a device used to simulate the aging process of products in special environments, in order to accelerate the testing of their performance and reliability
-High temperature effect: By heating the system to increase the temperature inside the test chamber, high temperature can accelerate the movement of molecules, promote chemical reactions such as bond breaking and recombination inside the material, and also change the physical properties of the material such as strength, hardness, toughness, etc. For example, for plastic materials, high temperatures may cause degradation and cross-linking of their molecular chains, thereby altering their mechanical properties and appearance.
-High pressure environment creation: A pressure control system is usually used to create a high-pressure environment, usually achieved by injecting inert gases (such as argon) or water vapor. High pressure can accelerate the propagation speed of internal defects such as micropores and cracks in materials, while also placing higher demands on the sealing and compressive properties of the materials. For example, for electronic packaging materials, high voltage may make internal defects such as delamination and cracking more likely to occur, affecting their electrical performance.
-Humidity regulation (if available): In some high-pressure accelerated aging test chambers, humidity can also be controlled. By using a water spray or humidification system to increase the humidity inside the box, high humidity environments can promote surface corrosion, moisture absorption expansion, and other phenomena of materials, especially for metal materials and some materials with strong moisture absorption, the impact of humidity is more significant. For example, metals are prone to oxidation and corrosion in high humidity environments, reducing their conductivity and structural strength.

Precautions for using the high-voltage accelerated aging test chamber:
1. Safe operation:
-Before using the test chamber, it is necessary to familiarize oneself with the operating procedures and safety precautions of the equipment, strictly follow the operating procedures, and avoid accidental operation that may cause personal injury or equipment damage.
-During the operation of the test chamber, a high temperature and high pressure environment will be generated. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to open the chamber door during operation to avoid burns or other safety accidents. If it is necessary to observe the sample or perform other operations, the box door should be carefully opened while ensuring safety, and the opening time should be minimized as much as possible.
-When wiring or inspecting circuits, the power must be cut off to prevent electric shock. At the same time, attention should be paid to checking whether there is any damage or leakage in the electrical circuit. If there is any abnormality, professional personnel should be promptly hired for repair.
2. Environmental requirements:
-The test chamber should be placed in a dry and well ventilated place, away from heat sources, fire sources, and flammable materials. The ambient temperature should be maintained between 5 ℃ and 35 ℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 85. Avoid placing the test chamber in direct sunlight or areas with a lot of dust to avoid affecting the heat dissipation and performance of the equipment.
-There should be sufficient space around the test chamber to ensure normal air circulation and equipment heat dissipation. Generally speaking, the distance between the test chamber and surrounding objects should not be less than 600mm.
3. Equipment maintenance:
-Regularly clean and maintain the test chamber to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of both the inside and outside of the equipment. When cleaning, a soft dry cloth should be used to wipe the surface of the box, avoiding the use of organic solvents or corrosive cleaning agents to prevent damage to the coating on the surface of the box.
-Regularly inspect the sealing performance of the test chamber. If aging, deformation, or signs of damage are found on the sealing strip, it should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure good sealing performance of the test chamber.
-Regularly inspect and maintain key components such as the refrigeration system, humidification system, and heating system of the test chamber to ensure their normal operation. If any malfunction or abnormal situation is found, professional maintenance personnel should be contacted in a timely manner for repair. Do not disassemble or repair on your own.

4. Sample requirements:
-The sample should be placed in the center of the test chamber or near the heat source to ensure that the sample can be uniformly affected by high temperature, high humidity, and high pressure environments. Meanwhile, it is important to note that samples should not come into contact or obstruct each other to avoid affecting the accuracy of the test results.
-For some volatile, flammable or toxic samples, corresponding protective measures should be taken, such as using sealed containers, ventilation equipment, etc., to prevent the samples from causing harm to personnel and the environment during the testing process.
5. Parameter settings:
-When setting experimental parameters, reasonable selection should be made based on the experimental standards and the characteristics of the sample, avoiding setting parameters that are too high or too low, so as not to affect the accuracy of the experimental results or cause excessive damage to the sample.
-During the experiment, if it is necessary to adjust parameters, caution should be exercised to avoid adverse effects on the sample and test chamber caused by sudden changes in parameters. At the same time, it is necessary to promptly record the adjustment of parameters for subsequent analysis and processing of experimental data.
