Use and maintenance of oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pump
Date: 2020-04-25Read: 2

Oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pumpDue to its simple structure and stable performance, it has been widely used in industries such as food, chemical, electronic optics, and medicine. Proper maintenance and repair have become a topic of concern for many users, reducing the occurrence of vacuum pump failures and minimizing the impact on production. As a professional company dedicated to vacuum pump maintenance for 16 years, Punok Vacuum Technology shares some experience with you on vacuum pump maintenance and repair.

1. Use of oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pump

Like all rotating equipment, the oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pump needs to be manually turned at the motor fan blades before starting up to check if there are any foreign objects stuck inside the pump. Afterwards, add the corresponding model of vacuum pump oil to the oil level and change the oil within one week of use or after 100 hours of operation, as new accessories may produce impurities that affect the vacuum pumping effect. It is prohibited to place anything that is easily sucked into the pump at the pump inlet. If there is a manual valve at the pump outlet, it must be in the open position. Then jog and check if the steering is correct before continuing to operate. The inlet pipeline should be kept as short as possible to maintain sealing and prevent leakage, thereby reducing the vacuum level.

2. Maintenance of oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pump

The working medium of the oil sealed rotary vane vacuum pump is vacuum pump oil, and the performance of the vacuum pump is closely related to the quality and purity of the oil. During the use of the pump, impurities and water in the pumped material can easily enter the vacuum pump oil through pumping, which can seriously affect the working conditions of the vacuum pump and even burn the pump. So, it is necessary to regularly sample and observe the vacuum pump oil. The method of Punok vacuum technology is as follows: when the vacuum pump is just stopped after normal operation (but pay attention to high temperature and high pressure injuries), when the oil temperature is high, put it in a transparent bottle and let it stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Observe whether there are any particles or sediment? Did any water sink down? Is the color dark or light? Explain with the following examples.

The oil sample # 1 in the picture is new oil that has not been used before, and it is used here as a reference for comparison. If the oil sample is dark black and there is no sediment visible, it must be replaced immediately. Although the color of oil sample # 3 is slightly darker than that of oil sample # 1, there may be a small amount of impurities during the operation of the vacuum pump, which is within the normal range and can be used with confidence. 4 # oil sample is darker than 3 # (indicating more impurities than 3 #). At this time, attention should be paid to observing whether there is water or particles at the bottom. If there are, they should be replaced; If there are no particles or water, it can still be used for a short period of time, but close attention should be paid to changes. If the color is darker, it should be replaced. Here's an explanation: Generally, the oil in the oil ring vacuum pump should be replaced after 100 hours of initial use, and then every 500 to 2000 working hours thereafter. But it depends on the specific application environment and operating medium. When changing the oil, the oil in the tank should be drained first, and a small amount of new oil should be injected. After starting the machine for half a minute, the oil should be drained, and then new pump oil should be injected to the oil level.

In addition to directly inspecting and replacing the vacuum pump oilRotary vane vacuum pumpDuring daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly inspect and clean the air inlet filter element, oil mist separation filter element, built-in dust filter element, and blades, and replace them if necessary. This can also effectively reduce the pollution of vacuum pump oil during use.
