After hail, various types of damage may occur to photovoltaic modules - some are clearly visible, while others cannot be detected by the naked eye.
🟢 Undamaged components: Some photovoltaic components have no visible damage after hail impact, depending on the impact energy of hail and the mechanical stability of the components.
🟠 Hidden battery cracks: Micro cracks in solar cells that are not visible to the naked eye, but can block current transmission.
🔴 Visible damage: cracks or impact marks on the panel glass, deformation or delamination areas of the frame.
These defects may lead to long-term power generation losses, hot spot effects, component failures, and even fire hazards.
💡 Through electroluminescence (EL) or photoluminescence (PL) detection, these hidden defects will be exposed - our professional DaySy system can support on-site detection directly in daylight environments.
