Micro focus industrial CT is a detection device that uses a micro focus X-ray source to perform tomographic imaging on industrial products. When selecting, the following aspects can be considered:

  1. Clear detection targets: Clearly define the types of industrial products to be tested, such as electronic chips, precision mechanical parts, etc; Master the external dimensions and material density of the inspected object. For small-sized objects, a micro focal point radiation source can be selected, while for large-sized and high-density materials, a high-energy radiation source is required to ensure penetration. At the same time, determining the purpose of the inspection is to detect internal defects such as cracks and bubbles, or to measure dimensional accuracy. The former has basic requirements for resolution, while the latter requires more high-end and precise equipment.
  2. Focus on imaging performance: Spatial resolution is the core indicator, representing the ability to identify subtle structures, mainly determined by factors such as focus size and detector pixels. The smaller the focus and the finer the pixels, the higher the resolution.   3. Considering scanning efficiency: In production testing, scanning speed affects work efficiency. To understand the time required for a device to complete a single scan, some high-end micro focus industrial CTs can achieve fast scanning by optimizing the radiation source power and detector response. In addition, the degree of equipment automation is also important. Functions such as automatic feeding, intelligent parameter setting, and one click scanning can reduce manpower investment and improve the overall smoothness of the testing process.
  4. View software functions: High quality CT equipment software should include basic image processing modules such as image denoising, contrast adjustment, and defect annotation, as well as advanced analysis functions such as size measurement, porosity analysis, and reverse modeling. At the same time, the software interface should be easy to operate, and the data management system should be able to store, retrieve, trace and detect data conveniently. It is best to be able to interface with other information systems of the enterprise.
  5. Considering after-sales service and budget: prioritize selecting brands with good reputation and high market share in the industry. To understand whether manufacturers can provide professional training and whether technical response and maintenance efficiency are timely and efficient in the event of equipment failure.
