The X-ray live animal imaging system for scientific research is a precision equipment that uses low-dose X-rays to penetrate animal tissues and visualize the internal structure of living animals. It is widely used in fields such as oncology and imaging. The core components of the equipment are precise and sensitive to the environment. Standardized daily maintenance is the key to ensuring imaging quality and extending equipment life. The specific details are as follows.
  1. Environmental control of imaging roomThe equipment should be placed in a clean environment with constant temperature and humidity, controlled at 18-25 ℃ and kept at 40% -60% humidity to avoid circuit short circuits or detector oxidation caused by humidity. Check the cleanliness of the imaging room before starting up daily, wipe the floor and equipment casing with a dust-free cloth, and prohibit storing corrosive reagents or dust generating items indoors. Regularly check the sealing of the lead protection door to ensure that the lead rubber at the door gap is not damaged, prevent X-ray leakage, and close and lock the protective door after each use.
  2. Special maintenance of core componentsThe X-ray tube and detector are the core of the equipment and require special maintenance. The use of the tube follows the "preheating procedure". After starting up, run it in low-dose mode for 5-10 minutes, and then switch to the required dose for the experiment to avoid instantaneous high-voltage impact damaging the cathode filament. The surface of the detector should be gently wiped with a dedicated anti-static dust-free cloth dipped in anhydrous ethanol to remove residual animal hair, body fluids, and other pollutants. It is strictly prohibited to use organic solvents or hard tools to scrape and prevent damage to the detection panel. Check the cooling system of the detector every week to ensure that the cooling fan is running properly. If there is any abnormal noise, clean the fan filter or contact the manufacturer for maintenance in a timely manner.
  3. Sample table and auxiliary accessory maintenanceThe experimental animal fixation table, anesthesia tubing, and other accessories need to be disinfected regularly. After each experiment, wipe the surface of the fixed table with 75% medical alcohol. After disassembling the anesthesia tubing, rinse it with a special cleaning agent, dry it, and store it in a sterile storage box. Regularly check the lubrication of the sample table lifting guide rail. If there is any jamming, add a small amount of high-purity silicone oil for lubrication to avoid rail wear affecting positioning accuracy.
  4. Software and Data MaintenanceAfter the daily experiment, promptly backup the imaging data to a dedicated storage device to prevent data loss caused by system failure. Conduct a monthly integrity check on the device control software and prohibit the installation of unrelated software on the device host to avoid virus infections or system conflicts. If the software experiences operational lag, you can restart the host or contact the manufacturer for system reinstallation.
  5. Regular calibration and professional inspectionQuarterly use standard phantom to calibrate imaging accuracy of equipment, adjust X-ray dose and detector sensitivity, and ensure imaging resolution meets experimental requirements. Contact the manufacturer once a year for a comprehensive professional inspection, testing the vacuum degree of the tube, circuit system, protective performance, etc., and promptly replacing aging components.
