ORP analyzer, also known as oxidation-reduction potential analyzer, is an instrument used to measure the oxidation-reduction potential of solutions and is widely used in water quality monitoring and other fields.
The core working principle of ORP instrument is electrode method. Its key components include ORP indicator electrode and reference electrode. Indicator electrodes are usually made of inert metals such as platinum. When immersed in the test solution, the oxidizing and reducing substances in the solution will undergo electron transfer on the electrode surface, forming a potential difference. The reference electrode can generate a constant potential, providing a reference for measurement. The potential difference between the two is measured by a high impedance voltmeter, amplified, processed, and digitized, and the ORP value is displayed on the screen.
ORP value is a comprehensive indicator for measuring the oxidizing or reducing properties of water bodies, and cannot reflect the quality of water alone. However, it can be combined with other parameters (such as pH, conductivity, etc.) to evaluate the ecological balance of water bodies.
Product Features
Real time monitoring: It can continuously measure online and reflect the changes in the oxidation-reduction potential of the solution in real time, providing timely data for production process control.
High precision: Equipped with automatic temperature compensation technology and high-precision electrodes, it can effectively ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
Versatile features: Some instruments support the expansion of pH, dissolved oxygen and other sensors, enabling multi parameter joint measurement, as well as data storage, remote communication and other functions.
Strong adaptability: With a high level of protection, it can work stably in harsh industrial environments.
Application field
Water treatment: In drinking water treatment, residual chlorine disinfection effect can be monitored; In sewage treatment, it is possible to determine the degree of nitrification reaction in the aeration tank and the reduction state in the anaerobic tank in order to optimize the treatment process.
Industrial production: In the pharmaceutical industry, ORP values inside fermentation tanks can be monitored to optimize microbial metabolic pathways; In the food processing industry, the ORP of cleaning solutions can be controlled to prevent microbial contamination.
Environmental monitoring: can be used to evaluate the self purification capacity and pollution status of rivers, lakes and other water bodies, providing a basis for environmental governance.
