How to choose a lubricant moisture analyzer?
Date: 2025-10-26Read: 0

Lubricating oil moisture analyzerIt is a professional equipment used for quickly and accurately measuring the moisture content in lubricating oil, with applications covering multiple fields such as industrial production, equipment maintenance, and oil quality control. in the selectionLubricating oil moisture analyzerWhen doing so, the following aspects can be considered:

1. Core detection requirements and scene adaptation

Detection range: The moisture content of lubricating oil is usually between 0.001% and 1%, and the instrument should be selected according to actual needs.

Detection principle:

Karl Fischer method:

Capacity method: Suitable for oil products with high moisture content (>0.5%) or containing interfering substances, calculate the moisture by titrant volume.

Coulombic method: Suitable for ultra-low moisture (<0.5%) or gas samples, it calculates moisture content through electrolysis current with higher accuracy (up to 0.001%).

Infrared absorption method: non-contact detection, suitable for online monitoring, fast response speed, but requires regular calibration and is subject to interference from oil color and impurities.

Capacitor/resistor method: simple structure, low cost, but accuracy is affected by oil temperature and viscosity.

Multi parameter integration requirements:

If you need to simultaneously detect moisture, metal abrasive particles, pollution level, etc., you can choose a comprehensive instrument that supports multi scenario use and reduces equipment investment.

2. Technical performance and reliability

Accuracy and precision: Laboratory level testing requires the selection of instruments with an accuracy of ≤ 0.01% to ensure data reliability.

Stability and repeatability: The instrument should have long-term stability and small repeatability errors. For example, the Intelligent Match IFW series oil water content sensor adopts good sensor technology to ensure data consistency.

Environmental adaptability: If used in high temperature, high humidity, or corrosive environments, instruments with high protection levels should be selected to ensure long-term reliable operation.

3. Convenient operation and user experience

Operation interface: Prioritize instruments with large LCD display, Chinese menu, and one click operation function to reduce human error.

Maintenance and Calibration: The instrument should be easy to clean, maintain, and have a long calibration cycle.
