The integrated digital microscope is equipped with an image sensor function
Date: 2025-11-25Read: 1
The optical system of the integrated digital microscope is its foundation, consisting of optical components such as objective lens and condenser lens. The light shines on the observed object, undergoes refraction and focusing by the objective lens, and forms a preliminary magnified real image. This process follows the principles of geometric optics, where the magnification of the objective lens determines the initial degree of magnification.
Image acquisition and conversion: On the basis of traditional optical imaging, the integrated digital microscope is equipped with image sensors (such as high-resolution CMOS image sensors). The sensor receives optical signals from the image formed by the optical system and converts them into electrical signals. These electrical signals are analog and correspond to the intensity of light. Then, the analog electrical signal is converted into a digital signal through an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and the magnitude of the value is proportional to the strength of the electrical signal and the voltage.
Digital processing optimization: The converted digital image data will be transmitted to a digital signal processor (DSP) for further processing. In DSP, color correction, white balance processing, and other operations are performed on images to improve image quality and accuracy, and encoded into a format that computers can recognize for storage, transmission, and analysis.
Display output results: The processed image will be presented on the display screen, allowing users to directly observe the form and details of the microscopic world through the screen, or to perform more analysis and recording by connecting external devices.
Precautions for using an integrated digital microscope:
1. Operating standards
-Handle with care: The equipment should be handled with care and should not be moved with excessive force; When focusing, it should also be operated gently to avoid forcefully lifting or lowering the focusing system.
-Correct conversion of objective lens: When converting the objective lens, do not directly rotate the objective lens, but rotate the objective converter to avoid affecting the coaxiality and alignment of the optical axis.
-Avoid damaging the high-power lens: The working distance of 40 or 100x lenses is usually very short, so extra care should be taken during operation to prevent damage to the high-power lens due to improper operation.
2. Environmental requirements
-Keep it dry and clean: Do not place the equipment near the outlet or window of the laboratory, as moisture and dust can affect the microscope and shorten its service life. After use, it should be covered with a dust-proof cloth in a timely manner and cleaned regularly to prevent dust stains.
-Stable voltage: Pay attention to maintaining the voltage stability of the microscope and avoid suddenly turning off the power during use to avoid damaging the equipment.

3. Maintenance and upkeep
-Clean the lens and stage: After use, clean the sample stage and lens in a timely manner to avoid sample residue and contamination. The optical and lighting parts can only be gently wiped with lens cleaning paper to prevent damage to the lenses.
-Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the instrument, such as replacing light bulbs, calibrating focal length, cleaning circuit boards, etc., to ensure that the instrument is always in good working condition.
4. Other precautions
-Protect the lens: Do not touch the lens with your hands or hard objects. When wiping the lens, be sure to use lens paper.
-Stage management: The stage should be kept clean and dry, and water from the slide specimen should not flow onto the stage. Meanwhile, when moving the stage, it should be done slowly to avoid damaging the objective lens due to rapid movement.
-Sample requirements: The inspected sample must be dry and free of defects such as oil stains and mechanical scratches to ensure the accuracy of the observation results.
-Safe distance: When adjusting the focal length, ensure that the sample or stage is at a safe distance from the objective lens and avoid contact.
-Do not disassemble components: Do not arbitrarily move the optical system or disassemble or wipe any parts of the microscope to ensure the integrity of the equipment.
-Power off sequence: After use, the light should be turned to the darkest state first, and then the power should be turned off to save energy and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
