Key points of daily maintenance
Cleaning and maintenance: Regularly clean the surface and surrounding environment of the valve to prevent impurities such as dust and oil from entering the interior of the valve body. For working conditions where the medium contains particles, it is necessary to shorten the cleaning cycle to avoid particle wear on the valve core and valve seat sealing surface.
Lubrication maintenance: Regularly add an appropriate amount of lubricating grease to moving parts such as valve stems and transmission components to reduce friction and prevent jamming. The selection of lubricating grease should consider the characteristics of the medium and avoid chemical reactions with the medium. For example, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, food grade lubricants that meet hygiene standards should be selected.
Sealing inspection: Regularly check the sealing performance of the valve and observe whether there is any leakage. For soft sealed valves, check whether the sealing components are aging or deformed; For hard sealed valves, check the sealing surface for scratches and wear. If any problems are found, replace the seals in a timely manner or grind and repair the sealing surface.
Common fault diagnosis and handling
Adjustment failure: If the valve cannot adjust the flow rate properly, it may be due to bent valve stem, detached valve core, or damaged transmission components. At this point, the valve should be disassembled for inspection, the valve stem should be corrected, the valve core should be reinstalled, or damaged transmission components should be replaced.
Serious leakage: Internal leakage may be caused by damage to the sealing surface of the valve core and seat, or aging of the sealing components; External leakage may be caused by loose packing box or damaged sealing gasket. For internal leakage, it is necessary to grind the sealing surface or replace the valve core and seat; For external leakage, the packing box should be tightened or the sealing gasket should be replaced.
Operation jamming: Valve stem jamming is often caused by impurities entering the valve body or insufficient lubrication. You can first try cleaning the valve stem and transmission components, and adding lubricating grease; If the problem still cannot be solved, the valve needs to be disassembled for in-depth inspection and maintenance.
