3Hold the theme of the penetrometer with one hand, and insert the long groove surface of the force applicator into the force applicator rod at the rear of the penetrometer with the other hand, so that the force applicator's transverse pin matches the force applicator groove. Then hold the end of the force applicator with your hand and slowly apply force inward with both hands. When the trigger jumps, it indicates that the penetrometer hook has been hung.
