Eltra oxygen nitrogen hydrogen analyzer from Germany
Date: 2017-11-20Read: 0

Product Introduction

Eltra's ONH series measures the oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen content of inorganic samples by burning inert gas in a pulse resistance furnace at temperatures exceeding 3000 ℃. The Eltra ONH analyzer can independently measure oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), hydrogen (H), or any combination of oxygen hydrogen (OH), oxygen nitrogen (ON), and ONH (oxygen nitrogen hydrogen).

detailed introduction

The ONH series provides you with rapid elemental analysis and has a wide range of applications, including metals, ceramics, and other inorganic materials. The ONH series offers two infrared detection cells of different lengths suitable for oxygen element analysis at different levels.

Typical sample
Steel, cast iron, copper, refractory metals, ceramics, etc

Advantages:

Flexible combination configuration for measuring oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), and hydrogen (H)
Strong 8KW pulse resistance furnace with a temperature of up to 3000 ℃
Short measurement time
The analysis process includes heating and segmented testing
Particle sample testing does not require foil wrapping into capsules
High sensitivity and low detection limit

Easy to operate and fast to test

The ONH series is safe and easy to operate. The sample is weighed on the connected balance and the data is directly transmitted to the computer. Alternatively, manual weighing can be chosen, with the sample placed on the sampler and the empty graphite crucible placed on low power. Depending on the application of the sample, other fluxes such as tin or nickel may be required to lower the melting point.

The analysis and testing time is 2-3 minutes, and the detection pool displays the actual time. All peak files and test results are saved in the database, and the results can also be transmitted to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ONH series basically does not require maintenance, only simple maintenance of the dust removal device and chemicals is needed.

Reliable detection system

The measurement principle of the ONH series allows it to have a wide measurement range. When testing samples, both sample weighing and placement are carried out in a carrier gas to prevent air from entering. Graphite crucible is degassed in a resistance furnace to avoid contamination (such as residual hydrogen). After stabilization, the sample is heated and melted in a crucible, and the oxygen in the sample reacts with carbon to produce carbon monoxide, while nitrogen and hydrogen are released in elemental form.

After being dedusted by a dust removal device, the carrier gas (helium) and sample gas are carried into a copper oxide catalytic furnace by the carrier gas, where carbon monoxide is converted into carbon dioxide, which is then introduced into an infrared detection cell to measure the carbon dioxide content. Carbon dioxide and water are removed chemically, and nitrogen content is measured using a thermal conductivity cell.

When using nitrogen carrier gas to analyze hydrogen element, Sch ü tze reagent should be used instead of copper oxide catalyst.
