Glass rotor flowmeter is a common instrument used to measure fluid flow rate. Its working principle is simple, the structure is clear, and the reading is intuitive, so it is widely used in laboratories, chemical engineering, environmental protection and other fields. In some special environments, fluids may contain corrosive chemicals, and ordinary glass rotor flow meters cannot meet the usage requirements. Therefore, anti-corrosion glass rotor flow meters have emerged, which adopt anti-corrosion design on the basis of traditional glass rotor flow meters, enabling them to work stably in corrosive media environments.

Anti corrosion glass rotor flowmeterWorking principle:
1. Basic components of flowmeter
It is mainly composed of glass tube, float, dial, regulating valve and other components. After the fluid enters the glass tube, the float rises or falls inside the tube due to changes in flow velocity, and the position of the float corresponds to the flow rate. The dial of the flowmeter is marked with the flow rate value, making it easy to read directly.
2.浮子原理
When the fluid flows through the flowmeter, the higher the flow velocity, the stronger the thrust of the fluid on the float, and the float rises. When the float rises to a certain height, the flow rate and the thrust acting on the float reach equilibrium. At this point, the height of the float is proportional to the flow rate, and users can read the flow rate value through the dial.
3. Anti corrosion design
In design, corrosion-resistant materials are usually used to manufacture glass tubes (such as acid resistant glass, fluoride coatings, etc.), and special corrosion-resistant materials (such as polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE, fluororubber, etc.) are also used to protect the seals, floats, and pipelines of flow meters to cope with flow measurement of corrosive media.
Structural characteristics:
1. Corrosion resistant glass tube
Glass tubes are usually made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, such as lead aluminum borate glass, fluoride coated glass, or polytetrafluoroethylene tubes. The design of glass tubes is usually transparent, making it easy to observe the position of the float and the flow of fluid.
2. Corrosion resistant float
Float is a key component in flow meters, usually made of stainless steel, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or other corrosion-resistant materials to avoid the corrosive effect of corrosive media on the float.
3. Sealing material
The sealing components of flow meters have a significant impact on their corrosion resistance. The anti-corrosion flowmeter adopts sealing materials with excellent corrosion resistance, such as fluororubber, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), etc. These materials can maintain good sealing performance and prevent leakage in highly corrosive environments.
4. Control valve design
After optimization, all stainless steel or corrosion-resistant alloy materials are usually used to ensure stable operation in harsh environments. Regulating valves are used to adjust the flow rate of fluids and control the accuracy of flow rate.
5. High temperature and pressure resistant design
During the design process, the requirements for high temperature and high pressure resistance were taken into consideration. Some models can operate stably at higher temperatures (such as 150 ° C) and pressures (such as 10MPa), adapting to special working conditions in industrial production.
Application areas of anti-corrosion glass rotor flowmeter:
1. Chemical industry
Many reaction processes in the chemical industry involve corrosive gases or liquids, such as acid-base solutions, salt solutions, organic solvents, etc. Being able to accurately measure the flow rate of these corrosive fluids ensures the stability and safety of the reaction process.
2. Oil and gas industry
In the process of oil and gas extraction, refining, and transportation, it can be used to measure the flow rate of liquefied gas, acidic gas, and other corrosive gases.
3. Water treatment industry
In the process of water treatment, chemicals containing corrosive substances are often used for treatment. The flow rate of these chemical agents can be measured to ensure accurate dosing during the water treatment process.
4. Environmental protection industry
The processes of exhaust emissions and wastewater treatment in the environmental protection industry often involve the flow of corrosive substances. It can ensure accurate flow measurement of these media, thereby improving the monitoring and adjustment accuracy of environmental protection equipment.
5. Pharmaceutical industry
In the pharmaceutical industry, many raw materials, liquids, and gases are corrosive, which ensures the precise addition of raw materials and guarantees the stability and safety of the production process.
