Structural composition of inverted water sampler

  Inverted water collectorMainly used in fields such as conventional hydrology, seawater chemistry, and microbial investigation. The two inverted temperature gauges attached to the water collector can be used to record the temperature during water collection. By reading the two gauges, the depth of water collection can also be estimated.
Inverted water collectors typically consist of the following components:
Water collection cylinder: The main body is a cylindrical structure, mostly made of nickel plated brass or stainless steel, with a total length of about 65 centimeters. The cylinder is equipped with valves at both ends, which are synchronously opened and closed through the linkage of springs and connecting rods.
Valve mechanism: The two end valves are adjusted for tightness by spiral springs and connected by parallel levers and connecting rods to ensure that both valves can be opened or closed simultaneously. The valve design ensures that there is no external pollution during water sample collection.
Release device: located at the upper end of the water collector, including an impact switch and a stopper. The stopper is used to fix the water collector on the steel wire rope, and the impact switch triggers the valve to close by external force.
Temperature gauge frame: Two inverted thermometers can be installed to synchronously measure the water temperature of the sampled water layer. The thermometer records data when the water sampler is inverted, and estimates the sampling depth based on the reading difference.
Fixed clamp and steel wire rope: The lower end is connected to the steel wire rope through a fixed clamp, and the upper end is fastened with a stopper to ensure that the water sampler dives vertically. The diameter of the steel wire rope usually does not exceed 5mm to reduce the impact of inclination on the sampling depth.
  Inverted water collectorIt has the characteristics of simple structure, reliable operation, and easy use. Multiple water collectors can be connected in series to simultaneously collect water samples and measure water temperature at different depths in one observation. It is suitable for collecting water samples at any depth such as rivers, lakes, and oceans.
