The water quality proportional automatic sampler requires regular maintenance
Date: 2025-10-21Read: 1
Automatic water quality proportional samplerIt is a device specifically designed for collecting water quality samples, which can achieve multiple sampling methods (such as quantitative sampling, timed quantitative sampling, timed flow proportional sampling, fixed flow quantitative sampling, and remote control sampling) and multiple bottling methods (such as single sampling per bottle - single sampling and multiple sampling per bottle - mixed sampling) according to the requirements of water sample sampling. It is an ideal sampling tool for scientific monitoring of rivers, lakes, and water discharged by enterprises.
The working principle of the water quality proportional automatic sampler is to extract the water sample from the flowing water body into the system through a sampling pump, and implement a series of operations in the system to make the sampling process fast, accurate, and reliable. Specifically, the sampling system includes components such as a programmable logic controller (PLC), metering pump, sampling bottle, etc. PLC can automatically identify and adjust the working status and flow rate of the sampling pump according to the preset sampling scheme, thereby achieving the effect of proportional sampling. The metering pump is responsible for accurately measuring the sampling volume and emptying the residual liquid after each sampling to prepare for the next sampling.
Automatic water quality proportional samplerRegular maintenance:
1. Thoroughly clean the internal pipelines and pump head:
Disassemble the sampling hose, soak and rinse it with dilute hydrochloric acid (1-5%) or specialized cleaning solution to remove possible inorganic salt deposits (such as calcium and magnesium precipitates).
For organic matter or biofilms, dilute sodium hypochlorite solution (<5%) or ethanol can be used for disinfection and cleaning. Afterwards, a large amount of deionized water must be thoroughly rinsed to avoid residual contamination of the next water sample.
Check if the pressure block of the peristaltic pump is appropriate to ensure that the pump tube is evenly compressed.
2. Replace the peristaltic pump tube:
Peristaltic pump tubing is a vulnerable component, usually made of silicone or fluororubber. Long term compression can cause fatigue, cracking, or loss of elasticity.
It is recommended to check once a month, replace every 3-6 months according to the frequency of use, or replace immediately if deformation or cracking is found.
When replacing, choose the original factory or pump tubing that matches the specifications.
3. Clean the water inlet and filter screen:
Take out the inlet probe or filter, brush with clean water to remove blockages such as sediment, algae, suspended solids, etc.
In areas with poor water quality, weekly cleaning may be necessary.
4. Check the seals:
Check whether the O-ring or sealing gasket at the sampling bottle cap and pipeline joint is aged or deformed, ensure good sealing, and prevent leakage or contamination.
5. Calibration and functional testing:
Regularly (such as monthly) calibrate the sampling volume: allow the equipment to collect a certain number of samples into the measuring cylinder, measure whether the actual sampling volume is consistent with the set value, and adjust if the deviation is too large.
Test whether the sampling function of the time ratio and flow ratio (if connected to a flow meter) is normal.
