Operation steps and precautions for using a constant temperature and humidity shaker
Date: 2025-12-18Read: 1
Constant temperature and humidity shakerIt is an experimental equipment used for simultaneous oscillation cultivation under set temperature and humidity conditions. Its operation steps and usage precautions should revolve around start-up preparation, parameter setting, process monitoring, and maintenance to ensure stable operation and experimental safety.
1. Before operation, the equipment status and accessory integrity should be checked first. confirmConstant temperature and humidity shakerThe base and rack are stable without looseness or displacement; Check that the oscillation tray, fixed fixtures, and seals are intact and can smoothly clamp the culture container. The sink or humidification system should be clean and free of accumulated water and impurities, and the water supply pipeline should be unobstructed. The position of the sensor probe should be unobstructed and able to accurately perceive the environment inside the box. After connecting the power, start the self-test program and observe whether the display screen, temperature control, and humidity control indicator lights are normal. Confirm that there are no fault code prompts.
2. Prepare water and humidity according to equipment requirements. Use distilled or deionized water that meets the standards to avoid impurities affecting humidity sensing and atomization effects. Inject water to the designated water level range, and do not let it be too low to cause humidification failure or overflow if it is too high. If the device has an external humidity control module, the connection and sealing should be checked to prevent air or water leakage.
3. The parameter settings should be based on the experimental plan to clarify the temperature, humidity, and oscillation parameters. Input the target temperature and humidity values on the control panel, and some devices can set the allowable fluctuation range and stability judgment time. The oscillation parameters include speed and amplitude, which should be set in combination with the type of culture container and liquid volume to avoid excessive speed causing liquid splashing or container detachment. After setting up, start the preheating and pre humidification program to gradually approach the target state of the system. It is not advisable to frequently change the set values during this process to avoid increasing energy consumption and component wear.
4. The placement of samples should follow the principles of uniformity and stability. Containers should be symmetrically distributed and securely fixed, maintaining a balanced center of gravity to prevent severe shaking or eccentric vibration during oscillation. The sample placement should not obstruct the internal air duct and humidity generator to avoid uneven distribution of temperature and humidity. If using samples that require light avoidance, they should be covered with a light shield on the outer layer or placed in a dark box, and the ventilation holes of the equipment should not be covered arbitrarily.

5. Continuous monitoring of status is required during operation. Observe the trend of temperature and humidity display changes and confirm that it approaches the target value at a reasonable rate without any abnormal fluctuations. Listen to the sound of the oscillating motor and fan running. If there is any abnormal noise or increased vibration, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Regularly record key parameters, especially during long-term cultivation, regularly inspect the water level, container fixation, and equipment surface temperature to prevent water shortage or overheating. In case of power outage or sudden malfunction, the samples should be processed after all equipment has stopped to avoid burns or liquid spillage.
6. The usage precautions also include environmental and safety requirements. The equipment should be placed on a stable, level, and well ventilated tabletop, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, to reduce the interference of environmental temperature and humidity fluctuations on control. Operators should wear necessary protective equipment and use insulated gloves when handling containers that are at high temperatures or in operation. Flammable, explosive or volatile materials should not be placed inside the box to avoid danger caused by heat or vibration. If there is a risk of cross contamination between different samples, partitions or independent areas should be used to separate them, and the trays and fixtures should be cleaned promptly after use.
7. The handling after use is equally important. First, stop the oscillation and turn off the heating and humidification functions, let the equipment run stably under the set conditions for a moment to reach a balanced state, and then discharge the accumulated water according to the regulations. After the box cools down, clean the trays, fixtures, and inner walls to remove liquid residues and pollutants, and prevent microbial growth or corrosion. Regularly check the lubrication of the oscillating shaft and motor bearings, and replenish lubricant if necessary. The surface of the sensor and probe should be kept clean to avoid contamination and perception bias. Long term disuse should disconnect the power supply, drain the accumulated water, and take measures to prevent dust and moisture.
Constant temperature and humidity shakerThe operation steps and usage precautions cover all aspects of preparation, setup, monitoring, and maintenance. Following the specifications can obtain stable temperature, humidity, and oscillation environment under different experimental conditions, providing reliable support for the cultivation of cells, microorganisms, and biochemical reactions.
