How to use a full temperature oscillator? Beginner's entry is super easy
Date: 2025-10-31Read: 1
The beginner operation core of a full temperature oscillator consists of 4 steps: prepare the sample → set parameters → start running → end cleaning. Follow the steps and you can get started in just a few minutes, with no complex operations throughout the process!
Step 1: Sample preparation, lay a solid foundation
Sample loading: Pour the sample to be cultured into a triangular flask, test tube, or other container. The liquid loading should not be too much (it is recommended not to exceed 1/3 of the volume of the triangular flask) to avoid splashing during shaking.
Fixed: Place the sample container evenly on the fixture of the oscillator, tighten the fixing knob to ensure that the container is stable and prevent shaking or tipping during operation.
Inspection: Confirm that there are no debris in the oscillator's inner chamber, the heat dissipation port is unobstructed, and the power cord is securely connected to avoid any malfunctions during subsequent operation.
Step 2: Parameter Setting, Accurately Matching Requirements
Temperature setting: Press the "Temperature" button and adjust the target temperature (common range 5 ℃~50 ℃) through the up and down buttons. For example, for microbial cultivation, set the temperature to 37 ℃ and wait for the instrument to preheat to the target temperature.
Speed setting: Press the "Speed" button to adjust the oscillation speed (common range 50~300rpm). Liquid samples can be set to 150~200rpm, and solid samples can be increased appropriately to avoid sample overflow caused by excessive speed.
Time setting: Press the "Time" button to set the cultivation duration (can be set from 0 to 99 hours). If continuous operation is required, it can be set to "Continuous" mode without manual shutdown.
Oscillatory mode (optional): Some models support both reciprocating and rotary modes, which can be selected according to experimental needs. For microbial cultivation, rotary mode is preferred for more uniform mixing.
Step 3: Start up and run, no need to be on duty throughout the entire process
Confirm parameters: Verify temperature, speed, time, and other parameters again to ensure consistency with experimental requirements.
Start the device: Press the "Start" button to start the oscillator. At this time, observe whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration in the instrument. If there is a problem, immediately press the "Stop" button to check.
Midway adjustment (optional): If parameters need to be modified during operation, simply press the corresponding button to adjust, and the instrument will automatically adapt to the new parameters for operation.
Step 4: End the cleaning and perform daily maintenance
Stop the device: After reaching the set time, the instrument will automatically stop. If you need to end it earlier, press the "Stop" button.
Take out the sample: After the instrument is completely stationary, release the fixture and carefully remove the sample container to avoid spilling the sample.
Cleaning the instrument: Use a clean cloth to wipe the oscillator chamber and fixture, remove residual samples, keep the equipment clean, turn off the power, and keep a record of usage.
