The removal effect of solid-liquid separation on total solids and pollutants in pig farm wastewater before anaerobic fermentation
Abstract:The high concentration pollutants in aquaculture wastewater mainly come from the dissolution of solid manure or the decomposition of microorganisms. Immediate solid-liquid separation after wastewater generation can effectively separate the undissolved solid substances in the wastewater, thereby reducing the content of pollutants in the wastewater and alleviating the pressure of subsequent biochemical treatment. This study focuses on pig farm wastewater and uses centrifugal separation to perform solid-liquid separation. The main objective is to investigate the removal efficiency of total solids, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and nitrogen and phosphorus compounds in the wastewater. The results showed that centrifugal separation can remove 50%~65% of total solids from wastewater, with COD removal efficiency ranging from 45%~55%, and removal rates of N and P elements ranging from 30%~50%. Through methane potential testing, it was found that centrifugal separation can remove more than 50% of anaerobic biochemical substances from wastewater, which can significantly save the construction volume and treatment cycle of biochemical treatment tanks. Taking a pig farm with a daily output of 100 tons of wastewater as an example, biochemical pre centrifugation treatment is more direct
Biochemical treatment can save 45% of wastewater treatment costs. This study can provide new design ideas and reference basis for large and medium-sized breeding farms on how to save investment and treatment costs in wastewater treatment projects.
